Hmmmmm..where have I seen this pose before.
Honestly.. this can just be about IM and warmachine shooting things and I'll love it!
Ummmm Not all the time...... Really....
I'm sure this is covered in the Marvel forum, but for those of us who don't tread there, here's the trailer: https://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/ironman/
Doesn't give off that epic feel that the first one did, but there is plenty of fan-wank going one. Still looks pretty solid though.
I just got these awesome double sided posters from my theater:
Hence the 0.1% left for exceptions.
hope the same thing for the 1/4 maquette of the war machine!
I was getting pumped during the trailer... until the very end. Then with the flying around/War Machine fighting a bunch of robots, it started to look a little over the top. That combined with all of the additional supporting characters (Black Widow, Nick Fury, War Machine, and at least two villains) makes me hope they're not cramming too much stuff into a single film.
I'll definitely be there midnight, I just hope Favreau doesn't go overboard and turn this into a completely mindless fanboy-type sequel. The first one was too good to deserve one of those.

that's top #1 on my wish-list, I hope they make it happen
Well then, that doesn't bode well for my impressions of the CGI in the final movie.
What do you think is wrong with the CGI exactly, if I may ask?
I'm not sure, it just doesn't seem to be at the level of the prior sequences in that trailer. I've always thought that the CGI in Iron Man was at it's most realistic when combined with physical props/sets or if it's a close-up of the armor simple actions that, while simple, an actor/stuntman inside the actual suit could not perform without looking awkward. In full-action sequences, the CGI just can't retain that realism. Granted, it's a shortcoming of many films, but I just seemed like with films such as Avatar or Where the Wild Things Are the combination of what is CGI and what is physical has become much more seamless.
That final shot in the IM2 trailer looked a bit like a CG cutscene in a video game. I'm thinking it was a full CGI sequence, environment and all.
It's not really fair though (for me to say all that), because the film is far away and it's a half-second shot in a short trailer I'm judging all this on, but hey, you asked.
