We'll see what the story says, but 3 new armors seems excessive and a bit driven by marketing. The Mark 4 looks like a slight variant of the Mark 3, so hopefully the story justifies that one a bit. Mark 5 and 6 make some sense, 5 is really just a portable, crude suit, and 6 is likely the, I got my ass handed to me and need something better, suit. Mark 4 is the only one that, for now, seems forced.

Yeah, but they have to count on connections to drive them to a theater at midnight and stay out until almost 3am to see a movie, that's figuring movie run time plus a ride home after.

Oh you'd be surprised how many will do that. Its crazy cause that would never have happened when I was a kid.

I don't know that Mark 4 is forced after all Mark 3 was pretty much toast at the end of the first movie. It only makes sense that Tony would make upgrades when rebuilding the suit.

I suppose, I forgot how bad it was when IM1 left off. I'm curious to see the explanation of the "veins" coming out of the arc reactor in his chest, I wonder what that's about, I thought the arc was just to power the magnet driving the metal away from his hart, can't see why he'd tie it into the rest of his body.

it may be some kind of poisoning perhaps?

I just had a thought when I was re-reading the previous posts about how some people did not like the Suitcase suit (Which I love) as it was a little fantastical and moved away from the more realistic aspects of the first movie. The whole point I'm trying to get to, is that this movie has been designed to tie in with other Marvel movies like Thor for the future Avengers movie. So I expect for things to be a bit more out there, when it comes to future instalments.

You are very right there dino, this is a world with a real Norse god of thunder and a scientist who can turn into a big green monster ..that suit is to slim and therefor unrealistic?! ..people must be forgetting this is a comic-book universe.
I love that portable M5 armor, cant wait to have it in my detolf!!

That's a good point. I find that after Nolan's take on Batman, I like comic films that try to be as based in a realistic context as possible. Unfortunately, Iron Man started that way, but as you said, with the Avengers tie ins, it's innevitable for these movies to take a turn into the really fantastical realm. It'd feel more acceptable for me if Iron Man had been like that all along.

i just preordered the all AC/DC soundtrack - love the idea of that :rock:rock rock and roll on april...
