Well, it's made out of the original Mark VI LSB... only modified. I guess it could qualify as a "custom" work. Regardless, the Mark VI LSB already made it's way to other markets while sideshow get stuck with delays after delays.

Yeah, and calling it a 'custom' is being more than generous. I agree with you 100%. I thought that was a picture of SSCs piece there for a second. This 'recast' business is really screwing over collectors down the road. I've always wanted a 1:1 Thing bust....now, I won't touch that thing with a 10 foot pole, unless I got it from someone here or someone who can show me a copy of their order directly from SSC. Not worth it. The recasts are getting too good.

Why, why is it so hard to get this one statue finished.:impatient: seriously never wanted to cancel but at this point it feels like sideshow is just holding unto my money.

I'd like to think that they're trying to improve overall quality. Of course, I don't know why, but I'd like to think it's to ensure quality.

Maybe something as simple as a delay on box art production though. :lol

These would be on our shelves if they were rushing them out.

I meant rushing them a bit at a time between gaps in painting other pieces. There shouldn't really be priority pieces, SS should cut back on the amount of items they put out at the same time if this is the case.

Has anyone even counted how many pieces they do each year?
They use multiple factories to do it.

The only reasonable explanation for the huge delay would be a recall due to issues :dunno
Hopefully SS are visiting the Chinese factorys and telling them when their work is not acceptable.
I'm fine with that. Rather wait than receive something I'm not happy with.

Agreed and agreed. :exactly:

It's a nice thought, but we all know this isn't the case, there are too many examples of abysmal paint apps that were signed off and shipped out to people. I'm all for delays for improvements mind. All SS would have to do is tell us that were the case...

Okay...now I'm getting pissed!! delayed until February!! Sideshow, you have to get on here and explain this :lecture

Even the MKVII Lifesize Bust has been delayed by another 2 months to March :dunno it's crazy delays!!

Relax bud..I understand your frustration..I too wonder if this bust will ever see our shelves...But nothing to do but play the waiting games...I say forget about it for now, so when we finally get the shipping notice we can be at least a little surprised ;)

It's not so much the delay my friend that bothers me but the lack of communication from Sideshow explaining why these pieces are having such heavy delays. I think they owe us at least that :dunno

I would love the opportunity to tell my clients ,
sorry love not going to finish your extension month after month .

I'd end up in court

It's easier to deal with if ss say they were crap so we told the manufacturers start again.

I'd say fair enough , thanks for not sending us expensive garbage (as you Americans would say )

If that is the case expect a load of cast offs once the real deal sees the light

Hi all!

Delays can occur for a multitude of reasons (the full allotment just isn't expected to be finished in time for a particular target time frame, there is an issue with the manufacturing of the item (paint isn't coming out how we want it, electronic feature isn't turning out how we want it, etc.) and so delays will occur to give more time to ensure the final product is what we want it to look like and/or function, etc. The end of the year does spawn some more delays on items as well since the Chinese New Year is coming up in early 2014 and some pieces may not be done fully before weeks of factory shutdown that will occur, so some projects end up being pushed back.

Unfortunately I do not know the exact reason for the delay of this particular item but more than likely it is to ensure the product is very well-done and its full allotment is completed.

Those wishing to cancel their order due to the long delay can do so and receive a refund of their NRD (or can transfer their NRD to another order). The request to cancel must be done over the phone, email or chat. Any item that has had significant delays (the Iron Man Mark VI LSB being one such item) can be cancelled for NRD refunds/transfers.

I know delays are frustrating but I hope that for those that do decide to keep their orders that they will be incredibly happy with their Iron Man once it is in had.
