I can't get excited about this after the crap that was IM2. That had to be one of the most disappointing movies I'd ever seen. I heard bad things about it before seeing it and streamed it on Netflix with low expectations and I was STILL let down by it. Easily the worst entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the worst superhero movie sequel since "Batman Returns."

The armor in this one looks horrible. I agree, if the chest plate was at least red and the rest that's gold stayed gold, I wouldn't care. But it looks so wrong the way it is.

Iron Patriot/War Machine is cool I guess. A bit hokey but aren't all of these movies more about being fun than dramatic? I hope Don Cheadle does a better job with the role this time. It was painful to watch him and RDJ act together in the last one. Ugh.

I'm more excited for Thor 2 and Cap 2 at this point. I'll give this one a watch at least on DVD/BD if not in the theater.

IM2 > Captain America.

I've only seen these and TIH once. I couldn't tell you if IM2 was better or worse than Cap, but I know these two were my least favorites of the series so far. Oddly enough, I love both Tony Stark and Captain America in Avengers. Thor and Avengers are my favorites followed by IM1 and TIH in that order.

Bunch of new stuff lately...

Synopsis...

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of Tales of Suspense (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with The Invincible Iron Man (#1) in May of 1968.

Iron Man 3 is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

I dig those new designs for War Machine. I think it is safe to say I will be getting both of them.

Also, that is the first pic ive seen of the Mark 8/47/whatever that I actually liked. They seemed to have increased the amount of red and changed that ugly pale yellow to gold. Maybe it actually will look pretty cool on screen and as a 1/6 figure.

The synopsis sounds really interesting

Agreed. Reminds me of one of the ending of IM's misc comic. 80's titles. The last book in that run Tony is forced to give up his armor (or drown) and realize its who he is that makes him a man and not the suite of armor. :wink1:

I really like the grey/darkgrey colourcombo for this Warmachine. Too bad the suit seems less bulky than the first. It almost looks like Mk VII proportions. If the lower colourscheme is in the movie, and HT releases the figure I might pick it up, since I missed the first Warmachine.
Not to fond of the Iron Patriot colours tbh... looks a bit tacky.

Anyway, I'm wondering if this will be some case of portable armour like the Mk V, since this Warmachine has the folding lines on the faceplate like the Mk V and lost a lot of it's bulk.

The Mark 47 looks very cool.
