I think price is more influenced by dimensions over weight.

Yea, I was thinking that too Col...with that said, I'd probably estimate shipping on these two maquettes to be around the $45-55 mark...

I use an average $50 when working out the price although most will be more.
With these new pieces being at least a year away anything could happen to shipping prices between now and then, they will only go up. Also exchange rates can be very unpredictable.
More reasons I like the secure local price.

They sometimes offer a flat rate also, I'm very much hoping they do so with the P2 maquette as the $120 shipping quote I got still gives me nightmares...

Has to be...that's seems way to excessive for a 1/4 statue despite it being pretty tall. Not even Gladiator Hulk will cost that much!! Still, I'm looking forward to seeing how much Sideshow will charge for a few of my upcoming PO's such as the Iron Man MKVII and Doom LSF's or the Prime 1 Optimus Prime statue

I have resigned to the fact that portrait likenesses on a Sideshow PF are never going to compete with other companies such as Hot Toys or Enterbay...for example take the Arnold Battle Damaged T-800 PF and compare the likeness to Enterbays equivalent...Enterbay wins all day long...

Its purely down to those resin/plastic materials used by EB and HT's which can allow for such incredible likenesses as opposed to hand sculpting on a polystone statue...however, as we've seen with Blitzways Bruce Lee statue, they have actually encorporated both polystone for the body and resin for the face to achieve an incredible effect. I hope Sideshow can follow this method also in the future as it will improve actors likenesses 10 fold

Jerry from PCS wants to do resin statues with polystone interiors. He pitched a 1/3 marvel line to Marvel but they said it was too similar to SSC. Shame. I think it is the way to go for live actor likeness.
