Well I just cancelled my order. Just didn't want to wait anymore and it's getting close to Christmas. I know I could have sold it and made my money back but it's just not worth the hassle. Too worried about the paint issue.

Im on the fence about keeping this or not also....its a toss up right now between this or the Alien warrior maquette. Both the same price.....which should I keep :banghead

Chris

Who did you hear that from?
Actually spoke to a Sideshow rep about it a couple weeks ago when I found out mine would be converting. I wanted to know if the label had been fixed. Rep said that they knew all about it, and then told me about the one (and apparently only one) that got sent out with the problem. Didn't mention whether the rest had the same issue or if they would be corrected, however.

Here they come......

QC issues again. Same disappointing flaws found on the MKIII bust--uneven surfaces, sanding marks, paint flaws, etc.:

I was hoping they would take the time and effort in converting the sub-par Mark III busts to Mark II. Especially since they are well aware of the many issues with the release of the Mark III bust. But no such luck. I wonder if we will see a 1:1 battle damaged Mark II bust soon.

OMG, i can see a major flaw from 20 feet back.
right in the middle/bottom of his chest plate the finish is uneven and looks like someone got to agressive with sandpaper and made a big gouge in his armour.

the paint certainly doesn't come close to Amin's bust that's for sure, it doesn't even look like it's got a shine at all.

these busts are all junk imo. even if you do manage to get one with a good paint job it's just going to flake off anyways.

i didn't even order this and would have no place to display a 1:1 bust, but just the effort that had been put forward makes me fackin sick.......:banghead

CANCEL man CANCEL, before it's to late and you get sucked into the IM bust vortex.:emperor

:lol I got sucked in once...???? you if you think you will get me again... :lol good luck on the replacements

buy one Sideshow IM product with QC issues, shame on them, buy two, shame on you  Even though I was lucky to pull a good conditioned Mark III bust, I will be very careful if I choose to get another IM piece.

Don't you guys think you are going a little crazy. Metallic finished can't really be perfect can they?
As long as there are no flakes, I think it looks alright.

Damit!...I knew I should have cancelled this piece of junk. Thats the first call im making tomorrow. Does is have the same missing paint issue in the neck area like the mark III?

Chris

Hmm.. well I still have this on order since my WL converted (thanks in a large part to you guys i guess).

I'll post my pics when he arrives. My mark III replacement was good so I'm hoping this one will be a keeper.

Is the base labled mark III also?

Chris

The neck area looks good.

No, it's labeled as mark II.

Thanks for the reply Turtle, in your honest opinion....is this bust worth the money? Is the quality so poor that is just not worth keeping?
Or will you be sending it back for a refund?

I have this shipping soon, I dont want to go through the trouble of sending it back for a refund if its going to come the same way the mark III did. I lost $120 when I got a refund for my last mark III bust because of the exchange rate...I dont want to go through the same headache again.

No problem Chris. I sent in a request for a replacement last night. I want to have this bust in my collection but not in the current condition. The quality is the same as Mk III, and just like the Mk III, some are near perfect while others have major flaws. I figure I give them a chance to rectify the issue. Amin got one in real good condition, so I guess it's a hit or miss thing with Sideshow's QC. I know in your case, it's a bit of a gamble. Can you contact Sideshow and have them send you picture of the piece they are shipping you? Doesn't heard to ask. Maybe you can cite QC as the reason.

I am so smart, S-M-R-T!
