Don't you guys think you are going a little crazy. Metallic finished can't really be perfect can they?
As long as there are no flakes, I think it looks alright.

yeah. that's probably true. Seems a strange coincidence but i realise quite a bit of the stuff i like have a link to SWS.

That prolly is Averone's bust, look for his Shelves thread here in teh Show Your Shelves section, that's the only one I've seen that has it this glossy and shiny and yes it was a Mark III custom.

yep, probably the only way your going to get a good finish and long lasting product is to get your own repainted.

ssc should've just sold these as kits for everyone to paint themselves.

Well he did an awesome job....THAT is worth $700 imo. Not that garbage paint job SS is selling them with.

Ya that sounds about right....I was quoted about $600 to have my bust repainted. So including the cost of the bust thats around $1200-$1300. Its worth it though if it comes looking like that as a result.

I talked to SS reps again today and they say NO ONE has contacted them for a return on this item. Isnt it funny...with all the complaints and issues the IM line has had they always say the same thing.
She then went as far to say that it was UPS's fault that some pieces show up with cracked paint and scratches
I told her that was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, is it UPS's fault the bust has an uneven surface texture??

Way to pass the buck SS...
