With one day left until this piece ships I've decided to throw in the towel and cancel my order. Just sent sideshow an email asking if I can have the NRD transferred over to an existing order...

I tried to keep the faith guys....:(

Just kidding. Since my expectations are now very low, I guess I can only be peasantly surprised. Right? LOL!

I will post some photos as soon as I get it in-hand.

:lol I know bro ;) but times are a changing. New companies are stepping to the forefront in a big way and sideshow are getting left behind I'm afraid. These QC issues are damaging their reputation severely and I've even just cancelled my MK42 lifesize bust pre order on the eve of that piece shipping! :horror

Will get my IP opened up in abt an hour from now so I'll definately give you my thoughts :)

I hear ya. I just called in and cancelled my order. Jennifer gave me my NRD back because the pictures from when we originally preordered it were vastly different from the ones on the website today. Were it not for that, she said I would've lost my NRD. I count it as a loss anyways, because I would've gladly paid the 1k for the piece in the original pictures. I was planning a repaint in MK43 colors, and do a big surprise... Ah, well my completed 1:1 Avengers armory display will have to wait. You think there's any possibility that SS would re-release this bust in a MK43 color scheme?

lol i dont know whether to say congrats on cancelling or not?! :lol :lol Yea, i got my $100 NRD refunded back which was good news as i thought Sideshow did'nt credit that back to you after you've done it two or three times?

I think there is a very good possibility of Sideshow releasing the MK43 lifesize bust...its simply a paint reversal isnt it...

Like you, had the production pics looked like how they were supposed to in the proto pics then i'd have gladly stuck with it but i guess you have to draw a line somewhere and $1K is alot to risk in any circumstances...with that said, i truly hope to see some nice inhand pics of this piece and i guess my decision to pick this one up in the future will be dependant on that.

Actually doesn't look too bad at all. Shame the paint choice is pretty flat.
One of the best looking IM products of recent times, by Sideshow.
They should never of showed the outstanding proto.

Yea, got the link, thanks buddy :hi5: wow! Great photos and have to say it came out much better than the Iron Patriot LSB did! Will definitely try to pick this up at some point but with so many POs on standby, something had to give so I had to cancel this one. I'm sure it won't sell out anytime soon though...

Looks great!!! Great picture set! Paint looks dull, but the overal look of the bust is nice!

This doesn't look too bad! Looks like the paint apps are clean.

If they did a repaint of this into the Mk 43 I think I would be in!

And the arc reactor isn't just a sticker...that is an improvement over the MkVII

Shame it's not what the prototype promised to be but I was fearing the absolute worst.

I can go back to looking forward to mine being delivered now.
