This was basically the SDCC footage, but it does reaffirm that Downey was perfect casting - he makes a fantastic *******, which is the essence of Stark. Ironman was never my favorite, but I'm looking forward to this almost more than Dark Knight - at least the suit is better.

I like Ironman as much as the next guy but to compare this to the Dark Knight movie....sacrilegious..

Granted I was at SDDC, saw the big iron statues, think I've read a Iron Man comic or two, but the preview reminded me of the Iron Man cartoon I saw recently and not in a good way. Is Iron Man being played straight in the movie or with a bit of the old "wink wink" camp?

If you mean the devil-may-care attitude of Stark as being too close to parody - I don't think so. All action/adventure movies have this kind of attitude these days - and it certainly fits the character. Favreau may not have truly proven himself as an action director, but he cares about the source material. I think it will be fine.
