The silver sections of paint are quite shiny. I'm kind of jelly that as soon as averone's pics show up some people are changing their tune when mine looks pretty darn the same in pics from a similar distance. :lol

Who's changing their tune about this statue? :huh

Just had a reply from Sideshow. I will be introducing IP to my hammer very shortly.

He'll be happy to destroy some Stark tech

Strange feeling before I open mine... Not even worried that it will be broken. I have much much bigger things to worry about!

Good pics Alex, always enjoy seeing your collection posted. Looks like you got the first decent IP statue, glad you enjoy it. I'm sure after you repaint and/or touch it up that it will display much better.

What's your opinion of the arm pointing, closed fist pose that's clearly missing the forearm weaponry? Do you have any intentions of adding a custom one like Andy plans to do?

Perhaps not change of tune but at the least being somewhat being more optimistic about it, I don't know how to describe it. Like I said to sarakawa, I feel my pictures from a similar distance look identical to averone's. (excluding the helmet :( )

Though I guess that would make his the first decent one overall so just forget what I said :lol

Alex already stated the lines that were sloppy on his statue he would be fixing himself, so I saw no reason to rag on it since he was honest about it up front. It seems you're fishing for a compliment.

I was rather forthcoming about mine as well and I DID mention I was kind of jealous, so yes I was fishing a little.

I also said forget about what I said because overall his is actually in better shape than mine. :)

You can't... It's just unacceptable. The only thing that would save face here is a massive refund/credit or them accepting all returns. I love sideshow products but that is very poor.

And it hurts me to say that about anything i enjoy...

Members on the other board stated they were offered $45 credit and no replacements were available, though full refunds are. Out of replacements the first week it hits customers homes? I'm not sure how that's possible.

It really is sad how the company's standards have fallen so much. To receive a statue painted like that is unacceptable. I honestly believe SS has to much going on in order to get QC under control. Where is the factory oversight? I do hope they can get things back on track.

Sideshow cancelled the first run of the Predator 2 maquette because the quality did not meet their standards, and yet the quality of this Iron patriot must have met their high production standards for it to be sent out to customers.

From the Predator email -

" Over the past six months our teams have put a high emphasis on quality control so that the final presentation is the best representation of our creative objective. When we have identified that an item is not meeting our standards in the production process it's our policy to halt manufacturing in order to address any concerns. "
