Im ggonna predict that this movie might be final hurrah for Hot Toys' Iron Man prioritization.

What probably happened is that some point in the past few months Hot Toys had a discussion with Marvel films asking what Armors were featured in the movie. Marvel gave them a list and images, and Hot Toys decided to just roll with it, not realizing that some of the Armors were only in the film for under a minute.

Now that it has been revealed how small of a role some of these armors play (combined with the rapidly inflated price tags), I can easily see a few of these like the Red Snapper warming shelves for months.

Seems like Hot Toys called up Marvel and they just faxed them a list and pics. Isn't it strange that they would not have had any discussion about the screen time and significance of different armours with Hot Toys, supposedly the biggest licence holder of the Marvel movieverse figures and such. So much for business strategy and developing profitable product lines.

Yeah I saw the film tonight and like everyone else I can see trouble for HT in selling a Kingsley Mandarin and a lot of those armours.

The armours that have bugger all screentime would be better as one a year Con-exclusives kinda like the Lost Predators used to be. I think its certainly a bad idea to release them at a relentless pace that fans can't keep up with financially - not to mention it being an annoyance for collectors waiting on other licenses.

For me, if I were buying figures from this film it would definitely be the MMS191 Tony Stark (and the Hall of armour sets), the Patriot and I guess the mark 42 even though its performance is questionable throughout. Everything else is for obsessives only. I would also look to kitbash additional Tony Starks in more casual wear, hoodie etc.

war machine 2.0, had to post here :lol

Well, we saw the Mark XLII have missiles in the forearm, remember the house attack? but thats about it .. too bad, I still wish HT at least add the forearm missiles

At least they gave us an open fore arm. :lol A missile accessory would be nice too, though.
Otherwise you could just have XLII hold one of Hawkeye's arrow tips.

Wow, it beat the freaking Avengers with the International openng. :thud:

:lol I watched it twice, midnight premiere and opening weekend... :thud:

Watching again tonight.. :thud:

HT has iron ***** if they decide to go through with their plan of releasing all these suits :lol. I'm pretty happy I po'ed Mark 42, IP and Tony. And those are my very first IM figures, I think it was a very good choice, representing the end of the trilogy. Might get a Mark 3 or 4 if they re-release as Diecast as well, to close my IM run!

I can barely even remember the WM Mark II in the film, was it even showcased that much??? :gah:

Okay thanks for that, I was just wondering if I missed something since Mark 42 and IP were the only ones that were front and center throughout the film.

In that case, wow HT..... What. The. Hell.

It makes me wonder if they will include Tony's HS in any of the MMS or Diecast armors like Heartbreaker, Igor, Shotgun and Gemini. Or a Rhodey's HS in WM Mark II. That'd be hilarious. And tragic. :lol

Not tragic IMO. Stark in his spandex shirt, headset and MK XLII pieces is the IM3 figure to own.

Just basic mms releases I'm hoping, they don't need any accessories really, tony only uses a few, the only good thing that could be added is battle damage
