Exactly. The only area where they're losing money on this is the return shipping they've had to pay on all of the defective ones that have been sent back. This piece probably costs them around $200 per statue to produce(if that) because of the cheap labor they're paying to the people making them in China, but they still turn around and charge $2k for them. I'd be happy if they lost money on every single one of them, though, because it's appalling they screwed up what could have been a truly fantastic statue.

Yeah exactly, but I want this line to succeed, I love it - but it's set to fail if they can't even spend 10 bucks a statue on some quality earth magnets!

I got it thru a local supplier pre paid for 2k Australian which is a "bargain" really since it would cost around 2.8k to get one from sideshow shipped to me. I told them I won't accept it if it's faulty, they have no problem with it and I expect they will be sending it back themselves if it's junk. Thanks for wishing me luck tho :)

That is real nice of your local supplier. Time for me to question my LSF, should it arrive Grrrrr.... Which seem like it.

How often does a Marvel sample of a statue get out to the public?
Not so rare... My Captain America TFA PF is one of them... bought it on EBay...
there's a particular seller (don't remember his id) that is "specialized" in selling those and they are authentic/legit!

The 3 pieces i had for this statue were complete garbage AS i was very open about in this thread.

I do wonder. Now that SS is damn well AWARE of people trashing and complaining their LSF Mark VII. Are they putting a stop to the production at China, have a review and change the paint, material, etc. Or just continue to pump out more? I am really curious on their take on this.

Why change? If they spent lets say 5k to make 100 statues and they sell 50 of them at 2k that's $100,000. AKA $95,000 profit. There going for quantity over quality and hoping people will accept broken and defective statues and people have and they will continue too.

Easy answer: Nope

Easy answer on their take: someone else will buy it if you ain't happy

I think the key with these is simply not to pre order them, they have no ES anyway. Just wait for in hand pictures. I am a little worried what the P2 maquette may look like now, it is incredibly expensive but still $800 short of this flagship piece and the paint job is a hundred times more complex.
