No, Sunbow did.

To Hasbro, he is a normal human.

Whatever you say!

See,I didnt think it up...Apparently the Creators/Hasbro created the idea of Cobra Commander being a Human Snake reptilian...so dont blame me

No, that "origin" was kind of shoe-horned into the storyline as a kind of afterthought, and only by Sunbow, as the comics rejected it completely and even the toy line conveniently forgot Cobra-la ever existed after releasing that one three-pack in '87. Hasbro can be blamed for setting the stage for such nonsense by introducing sci-fi elements slowly but surely... Some say they jumped the shark with the introduction of Serpentor, but at least that had some basis in science. I personally think it was Cobra-la, which introduced such a bizarre level of fantasy elements the line never seemed to recover, in my opinion anyway. Up until then, they maintained the level of balance necessary to keep the RAH line both realistic and cool/futuristic. After the movie, the toy line quickly returned to a more realistic setting, but vehicle and character designs - and especially many of the colour choices - seemed to get crazier and crazier...

But I digress. I don't think anyone's really sure why they decided to take such a science-fiction fantasy route but you can tell just from the general tone of the earlier toys, comics and cartoon mini-series that any such origin would have been VERY out of place. Beyond a slight speech impediment, there's no evidence that suggests Cobra Commander's "snake origin" was ever part of the original plan. It was most likely Sunbow "ret-conning" the character to fit with their crazy movie plans.

I don't think Sideshow will touch anything to do with Cobra-la. If they did decide on an unmasked headsculpt as an accessory, it would be much cooler if they based it on the comic, though I'm sure a lot of fans unfamiliar with the Marvel run would be all "wft?", as he looks kind of like a beatnik.

Probably better if they maintain the mystery and decide on some other accessory as the exclusive. I'm sure there's a number of cool little gadgets he used in various comic issues and cartoon episodes... or they could just give us something out of left field, like they did with Dusty.

she's so hot (childhood crush,of course who didnt have one)

my wife said,if I ever was allowed to sleep with one woman with her consent..she said Lynda Carter lol (of course only in my dreams)

My wife allows a Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway fling :lecture

I agree with this...though even though Sunbow created the 'reptilian version' of cobra commander,Hasbro did still allow it...they do control the characters(ask Sideshow with their pending approval)
of course, I know the reasons why he turned into a reptilian snake, but no-one will believe me

Like thats ever gonna happen

Anne had a bankruptcy ****** and Ryan Reynolds is out of the picture :lecture

Hell yeah, she's a hottie.

Damn, I know this is off-topic, but Hot Toys should really think about doing this. I'm not even a fan of the old series but she'd look damn good with the upcoming Chris Reeve Superman and Michael Keaton Batman, though I know in my heart it's too much to hope for...

Some minor Joe news, hidden in the form of a Star Wars question.

Q: In a recent Q and A you stated your development team is working on finishing a new 12-inch female body. Do you have a time-table? If so, how long before we can expect an Empire Strikes Back Leia?

A: Mmmhmmm… still in progress, but coming along quite nicely. The base body is almost done, although a little more engineering work is required before we call it fully ready. In either way, we’ll be beginning development work on the first females in the line-up, including some bodacious babes from G.I. Joe, and indeed – Leia from ESB. So no time table yet, meaning that releases are far from imminent but progress is progressing.

Hurry up and do it already, Sideshow.
