You guys just hit on a key to marriage success. Not that it has to be big or expensive (because you can't put a price tag on love right?)... but a surprise gift every once and a while goes a loong way to keeping things spicy! I try and do it at least 5-6 times a year.

My wife is always like... "uhm what is this for?" I say... "It's just because I love you"... and she melts and all is good in the world. She thinks it's thoughtful and romantic. Two things many guys fail at for their ladies.

Just a tip from your friendly neighborhood swabie!

Woot!

some guys just have a lot to learn. cheers swab! :duff

The first time my Sweetheart/fiancee bought me a Sideshow Collectible, we were at the comic book store. I took here there so she could look for her Wonder Woman items, which she did find a few. The store also had a 1/6 Hellboy, so i got that off the shelf. As I did some more browsing, i.e. she got one of the store guys to distract me and look at some of the Sideshow figures a bit farther from the register, she went ahead and paid for the figure.

I was like... awww

Actually, when we first started dating, SHE was the first to ask ME how i felt about a girl who had a collection, namely Wonder Women. I said, well, I collect stuff too. And she's since then seen my collection and even asks about new stuff coming out. When we talk about the home we would buy. she's agreed to a collection room for the both of us. I even buy her Wonder Woman collectibles too. I asked, will you ever ask me to stop collecting or get rid of mine? She responded, "will you ever tell me to lose the Wonder Woman items?" i said "No." and she said "then there you go" :)

I've found my perfect woman, and I am not letting her go.

Having found my Booyah! on the Sideshow Freaks Board was my best Valentine's present ever!!!!!!!!! Or even best present ever, does not even have to be Valentine's day for it. I am the luckiest girl on Earth. He even comes with an instant Star Wars collection and I with an instant Lord of the Rings and little Marvel collection. :)

My Valentine's gift for him was the Star Wars bookends... and I made him a special album that he still needs to receive and I sent him also another prezzie but I cannot say what it is because it is in transit lol.

But he gave me the best present ever. He gave me my own star. My name forever in the International Star Registry in the Andromeda constellation. Talk about the most romantic gift ever. Then he also sent me flowers but since we are having a serious snow, ice blizzard/Nor'Easter... I will not be at work and I doubt that they will deliver my flowers today. So I will get them tomorrow. :chew :chew

After being alone for 9 years... being in love is the best thing ever... especially when you have such a great connection with someone.

Thank you Sideshow and Freaks for bringing love into my life and not only with the wonderful statues that brought us together.

Oh baby...you're so sweet! I love you so much, my little shmoopie woopie *Kissie Kissie Smoochie Kissie Kissie*

Wow!!

I got my wife lunch at the Olive Garden. That's not quite as romantic as flowers and your own star.

But I do have a mole on my leg that has grown large enough to deserve its own identity. Perhaps I shall name it after her!!!

See people... I told you I was the luckiest girl on Earth. I have found my personal special angel and hope that everyone's love is just as strong as his and mine is. There is nothing better in life.

Love is an intoxication, it blinds you to reality, makes you act in ways you normally wouldn't, and leaves you worn down and unwilling to function when it's over.
