I've changed my mind about KOTCS

Watching this "film" at the cinema was one time too many for me. I have no desire to watch it again, ever. It's the worst film Spielberg ever did. The only good part was the whole opening sequence (yes even the fridge bit).

It's simply bad.

The nostalgia of seeing Indy wore off rather quickly and the campy story just kept getting worse and worse. Saw it on DVD and I was cringing throughout the film.*

*Similar to when watching "The Phantom Menace* and each time Jar-Jar comes on the screen...

I enjoyed it in the theater... it had its obvious wtf moments and it was overall an okay movie, but definitely not something that could live up to the hype.

On video it was still enjoyable and I guess I kind of liked it more, but I think it was more the fact that I'd already seen the bad parts and they no longer had the same shock factor.

I enjoyed it in the theaters and have enjoyed watching it on BR. Its a fun movie to watch and its awesome to see Indy on screen again. For me personally its a nice addition to a series I truly enjoy.

Medeiocre is two strong a word for what this film is, Lucas, Speilberg and Ford messed this up. They all had to agree on the script before they went back in, and this was the best they could come up with? They should have stopped while they were ahead.

It rocked when I first saw it and it rocked even more on BLU-RAY
Actually have come to like it less with multiple DVD viewings.

EH! You have watched a movie multiple times that has come out less than a year ago, and you dislike it the more times you watch it:confused:
Solution, stop watching it.

Good idea! That's why I have turned it off after about the first half hour both times I tried to watch it. :lol

When I went to see this at a sold-out midnight showing, you could hear a pin drop as the crowds filed out at the end of the movie. I didn't take that as a very good sign.

I saw it twice and that was more than enough. I never even bought it on DVD.

Also whenever a board member posts the following phrase you know it crappy:

"It's a good popcorn flick" = ^^^^ty movie. :lecture :lol

Too many people give LAST CRUSADE a pass but dump on this flick because it has aliens and swinging monkeys in it. It's tied with that one for the 3rd best in the franchise.

I enjoy the first 1/3 of the film more every time I watch it, but once the "fridge gets nuked" (though it doesn't bother me nearly as much as others) it is a VERY steep drop-off to mediocrity. :sick

I don't think Last Crusade was bad at all. It has nothing to do with subject matter either. It was just executed much better in terms of acting, writing and laughs and stuff. All KOTCS has over Last Crusade is effects and we all know how effectice that is to making a good flick for Lucas.
