"a more suitable actor"??? Again, it's all about race for you.
Cumberbatch is a phenomenal actor who delivered an impressive performance, by far the best performance of both Abrams movies. Somehow you're letting his race cloud your opinion of the character when the character's race has nothing to do with the plot, in any universe.
I think race had nothing to do with it:
I think Khan was poorly utilized. They hyped him up to be this evil genius, but all we saw out of him was some physical badassery and magic blood.
Good thing they phoned up old Spock to ask about Khan because they totally trusted Khan before that phone call...oh wait.
