Haha. That would've been a quick kick out...and a waste of 80 bucks.
The Shat looks pretty well preserved there. Thought he'd look older
The only real plot holes, IMHO, at this point, are:
1. The fact that it only took one day to get to Kronos
I thought I heard it was more like 15 seconds.
Just saw it over the weekend. Why did Abrams have the Enterprise underwater? What was the point? Does the movie have to not make sense right from the beginning?
1. Prime Directive - why were they even near the primitive planet to begin with?
2. Why not just orbit the planet since the primitive culture couldn't detect the ship in space and have Spock beamed to the volcano. They beam him out of the volcano.
3. If they need to use a shuttle craft (because they didn't think to use the transporters) why not leave Enterprise orbiting and have a much smaller ship come down in case natives are looking to the sky.
4. How did natives miss the Enterprise landing and submerging?
5. At what point does Spock care about the violation of PD? I mean, he was pretty annoyed when Kirk saved him. But was he annoyed when they parked the Enterprise under water, took out a shuttle, etc.?
Agreed with all. That whole thing was done purely for the unique visual without any thought for how ridiculous an idea it is.
I think it had the same number of plotholes as Prometheus...coincidence? lol
