Not getting any more Cantina aliens or Jabba's thugs is a real bummer, not to mention the Imperial and Rebel characters we'll miss out on. Star Wars is all about the background characters.

The medicom jawa vcd is'nt too bad, though slightly overpriced. Fits in well with jabba and i made a fan for him. Helps complete the dio. at least.

I have seen some use the old Hasbro ones pretty well with a lil work.

I love it simply as a display item, just not a toy to go with my 1:6 collection.

I think jabba and his throne set hold up pretty well in comparison to recent high end releases. Originally priced at about $120us and the throne $200us ( i paid alot more than that in 2012)
these prices feel like a steal when a basic figure goes for $230+ and an environment dio piece $300 - 350 right now. Maybe we did'nt realise at the time, but we were pretty lucky on some of the figures as far as price goes back then for what we got.
If jabba was released today by ssc or HT, i would imagine he would cost $350+

Good point - it's still my favorite SW 1/6 piece and I would have had to pay that $350+ because would have had to have it. Thank goodness SSC took on Jabba so early.

Hoping for HT to do some Jabba's goons. Adds a bit of freshness as in not to repeat what SSC have done.

Other than paint, I don't know how anyone could top Sideshow Jabba, its a perfect sculpt that looks straight out of Jedi. No one will ever make it but id love to get a Phantom Menace Jabba.

I bought Jabba and his Throne including Bib Fortuna, Creature Pack and Greedo for about 1200 USD .. but its pretty awesome!

Be careful what you wish for... what if they made it out of rubber? Would you buy something that big and that expensive made out of HT rubber?
