Looks great. Just watch those Gammys, after a while their ankle joints become loose and they tend to take a dive off the display or shelf. They're a bit top heavy, especially with an out-stretched weapon

The 1/6 Han in carbonite has been pricey for a while now, if you find one, the seller wants way too much for what it is.
I'm fine with the PF, plus it actually has lighting effects that the 1/6 should of come with too.

I sold my SSC Han Carb (for a goldmine) because it just wasn't that accurate. I took my Hasbro and SSC blocks and viewed side-by-side - and honestly, the Hasbro one had a better Han face sculpt. Then the stylized wall backdrop bugged me (it's way off) so out the door it went. I'm heavily modding the Hasbro block (I cast the control panels before I sold the SSC one so will glue those on) and will build a better wall backdrop as it's really pretty basic other than the control box.

Sounds great! Can't wait to see it!

Just gluing the last mold strips on the side of my Jabinet (that's code for Jabba's Palace Display Cabinet) right now. Then it's just cam locks (kid proof) and then the throne goes in. I've painted a 1-2" riser piece to put it on so the throne's at the right height. Have to see if the cabinet is high enough for the big arch - looks close. I've got Ikea Dioder lights in on the "ceiling" but I've mounted alum angle either side to make it appear more directional (instead of diffuse light) and create darker and lighter areas in the display. I've got a little bit of bluish gel and have contemplated gelling the light to make them more blue, but that might be going too far. I'll be doing the Han Carb as soon as I get everything settled in there.

Definitely want pics of your build and finished work!

I don't think that's going too far, that would look awesome and movie accurate. The film stock the English crew used for the Jabba scenes was old stock and came out more blue than it was meant to (Lucas went crazy when he found out).

Yeah, may still do it - looks like maybe I have enough gel. It's hard to get the Ikea lights to go directional "down" though and look like the Palace lighting - they seem to want to go soft and diffuse. Right now it's more just some slightly darker areas and some pretty bright areas (over Jabba himself.)

I have now completed my Jabinet, but it's currently filled with all my imperials for a "show us your troops" photo (it's nice and bright white in there, brighter than my other cabinets) then I'll move in the scum and villiany.:yess:

Looking to get some feedback from anyone who has sold their Jabba and/or Throne.

Obviously the boxes are huge, and shipping them is going to be prohibitively expensive. Do you sell them loose, or with packaging? Is either one going to be more 'valuable' to a buyer if it is in the package vs saving some money by buying it loose. I'm the type of person that hates to haggle so I don't want to go back and forth with someone about it.

It will always be more valuable in original packaging. Plus it's safer for the shipping due to the padding already created for the items.

Jabba you could probably throw around like a football and it would be fine. The throne is heavy and feels fragile. I wouldn't send that without the original packaging, though yeah - the box seems way too big for the actual item.

That box is the size of a suitcase! Only someone who is desperate to have the throne (like i was) will pay the bs shipping costs to move that slab. The gargoyle/serpent type things is what makes it fragile. Metal rings and polystone teeth are'nt a great combo.

oh I know I have this huge piece in the collection including both boxes. but still glad I have them both. yeah the gargoyle is fragile that`s why I don't mess with those to offten.
