Jabba 12" Image Thread

Be careful what you wish for... what if they made it out of rubber? Would you buy something that big and that expensive made out of HT rubber?

It could be like ED-209 v1. Rubber issues on the visor/dome, but the whole figure would start to fall apart

Nice, I wish I had a Sideshow Gammy, I'll have to settle for repainting my Hasbro some day.

Jabba related, Rebelscum.com has been running articles of the old Kenner product photography and apparently, there was a different Jabba figure planned originally.

I kind of want it just for the sake of nostalgia, but clearly very inferior to the final figure. I wonder, was it because of limited access to what Jabba would look like or why such a dramatic difference in quality, since the original '83 Jabba figure is still probably the best overall Jabba sculpt in the scale for 30 years.

It's frightening that I have all that in my closet, and it's probably only 20% of what I have.

But congrats - nice score! You will love them - those are some of SSC's best.

That was a prototype, not really a different figure exactly. They never planned to release that version. I actually have one of the vinyl casts made from the sculpt. Unfortunately nobody seems to know what happened to the finished figure or throne they used for that photo, or for this version:

Closets/ wardrobes are'nt meant for clothes, they're made for storing sideshow boxes.

Was afraid at all the boxes and blisters in the house too. Decided to get rid of all Hasbro boxes but kept most/all high end items boxes.

Sideshow can be pretty bad in terms of "overboxing" things sometimes. I know the throne is polystone and needs protection but I can just about back my car into that box.

The 1/6 Han in carbonite has been pricey for a while now, if you find one, the seller wants way too much for what it is.
I'm fine with the PF, plus it actually has lighting effects that the 1/6 should of come with too.
