Jabba 12" Image Thread

In case you didn't see the warning on the other thread, be careful when slicing the shipping tape on the throne shipper. There's nothing but a plastic bag protecting the product box. (Jabba has a piece of cardboard over the top of his product box.)

Okay. Jabba is quite light, and his throne is very heavy. Also big. Here's the slug himself sitting atop the throne shipping box (33" x 22" x 12"):

I only unwrapped the throne enough to confirm that it's not broken:

Displaying this will be a major home project, so I have to be able to get it back in the box. I haven't unwrapped the whole thing yet. It'll take time to do it right so I can put it back, and I wanted to post something for everyone.

Hello everyone, this is my first post.

Here are some pics of the original Jabba set up. I plan on making a set of stairs for the right side for Bib to stand on. I really hope SSC sees that there is a need for the stairs to go with the throne.

Thanks everyone. I can't tell you how excited I am about the Jabba. He is my first step into SSC and I think I'm hooked.

I also have a few more very rare photos of Jabba if anyone wants to see them. I don't want to fill the thread with non-toy pics unless people want to see them.

One pic is really great though, it actually has the original plate of food and chopsticks that comes with SSCs Throne.

Ok, so here are the pics.

First is Jabba's plate of food. Who knew he liked chopsticks?

Here is a good pic of Jabba's tail scar. Many people believed the scar was EU based.

A nice pic of something never seen in the movie. This is the food stand 3PO falls in to that makes him all green. Later expansion pack piece?

Lastly, a nice pic of Mr. Crumb. This might be the pic that SSC bases him on. Well, minus the facial expression. I love his pillow. I never notice it in the movie.

Sorry for the delay guys. I decided to keep the throne wrapped, and have spent the last twenty minutes hiding...er, placing it discreetly behind some other boxes on a shelf in the garage for the day I complete building my own cases. Curiously enough, the other boxes are also marked "Sideshow." Hmmm. My day of reckoning may finally be at hand.

As for Jabba, I think he looks great and I'm glad he's so lightweight. I'll be interested to hear what others think of his eyes. They're in fairly alert dilation mode and don't look catlike. The "whites" (sclera?) are painted a metallic bronze color that's very creepy and a good approximation of the movie's otherworldly bloodshot Jabba. What was in that hookah pipe of his, anyway?

I don't think any other manufacturer has ever offered a Jabba with so much slobber. I'm really, really glad I got him and his throne, even if displaying it all presents such a challenge.
