Anyone know if the top (bowl) part of the pipe and railing is removable? So the area with the frog snacks would be opened up?

I asked them this question early on, and they said it's not intended to be removed. I think it might snap on seperately, but it's not displayable off.
God, I want this thing! I finally broke down and called them. Of course, all is well in my account, and they expect to charge me soon. Sigh. HOW SOON??!!

looking great. I think a yellow bulb will help with creating the impression of orange we remember. I'll still paint it, but at least half of that is just the artist in me who's never happy with anything, lol
It is, of course, a fabulous piece. I think at the least (if I have the display room) I'll sculpt myself some steps or a platform for the side for whatshisname to stand on

I was going to put him on top of a bookshelf too but decided against it for two reasons. One, I don't think it is big enough. Two, it is too high to see the set up in full glory with all the critters. So I got an old desk from the basement and it is just big enough for the entire set up and is about waist high so it can be clearly seen.

I'm going to put my whole set up on top of two identical bookcases that are right next too each other. Right now I have all my Jabba citizens set up. The only thing I need now is Jabba and his throne.
I'm going to go nuts by Tuesday waiting for this to arrive.

If the package really weighs 40 pounds, you can figure that no more than 5 of those pounds will be packaging, so the throne will weigh at least 35. Then you add Jabba, Bib, Salacious and the gang, and that's freaking heavy!jlcmsu said:

I also bought a shelf to lay on top of the two bookcases. It's extra wide so that I don't have to worry about anything falling behind the bookcases and it's the lenght of both bookcases together so that it kind of locks them together.
Can't you just strap the detolf's to the wall like we do in CA for earthquakes? This would keep them sturdy.
Here's a comaprison of the SS Jabba and the IC Jabba...
The Illusive Concepts Jabba is much bigger and clearly now much more toy-like. The SS Jabba shines in so many ways over it. The IC Jabba suffers from that certain Hasbro-style "oversized" look. He was good for his time -- I got this in 1996.
But the sculpting and detail on SS is so superior. It simply IS Jabba.
