The upper pipe and bowl section are packed separately and sit on top of the railing. You don't have to display it on, but you would be staring at the empty socket in which it sits. You are not able to see through the railing and down into the liquid/frog section.

Thanks tom. I guess If i really want I can just pretend the hole is there. Remember that guys, pretend?

I believe I've received my tracking info for either Jabba or his throne. The shipping info says 40lbs. Can anyone else comment as to this being the correct weight for either of these? Thanks! I can't wait for the J-Man... (Not to be confused with THE J-Man, Jesus).

Rocking pics! I feel the same excitement in this thread as when I got my Hulk PF delivered.

Congrats to those who got their Jabba's.

Wow...what a set-up tomandshell! (love the GG Gamorrean skulking around the back:))...you've got a great collection there...

....and mrmforce...I really like the detail shots!

Couple of quick questions for you proud throne-owners...

Are the cushions fixed? Are there "feet" on the throne base (does it rest flat?)

Thanks again for the great shots folks!!

I dont have the throne yet but I believe the pillows are not affixed but are polystone and that the throne does rest flat, ie no feet.

So I got my shipping notice for the throne today but still no Jabba.

That'll be an interesting display for a while. I guess I missed out on the first run of Jabbas.

Great pics, guys!

Maybe it's due to the flash, but Tom's Jabba looks to be a much deeper green than mrmforce's and Wor-Gar's.

I'd say like every Sideshow release, images aren't often a good representation of the actual item due to changes in the lighting temperature and how the camera's white balance and other settings interpret it, but no matter what, I know when I dive into his box on Thursday and take him out, I'm going to be blown away.

Oh, I know I'm going to be happy too. It's just that Wor-Gar said the paint apps on his looked a little light. And looking at Tom's, his looks like a nice rich green. But you could be right...it could just be the lighting and the camera.

Is the throne magnetic at all? On the CD-ROMs they handed out at SDCC, ghoel is attached to the side of Jabba's throne (the end nearest his tail). Haven't heard anyone comment on it. Also, how does Jabba's potty look?

Great pictures guys and congrats to the lucky who already have him! I'm looking at a delivery on the 13th... and really need to figure out a way to work from home so I don't miss him!

I know we got a rough size of the throne earlier... would anyone mind breaking out a tape measure and give dimensions of the base. I'm still holding out hope my original display idea will work out :monkey1

If you are planning what I think you are , I hope you have a lot of room. I planned an a portion of the thone room and it was about 5' x5'

Thanks for the compliments on the pixs.

I will try to answer the above asked questions:

1. 40lbs is about accurate for shipping. The throne is VERY heavy.

2. The pillows are NOT fixed. They are made of the same material as the one that came with S.Crumb is. No "attachments" or anything to put them in a specific place. You can place them where ever you want.

3. YES there ARE feet on the bottom of the throne. 4 of them about an 1/8"
The bottom of the throne also has a velvet lining covering the entire bottom, but it DOES NOT rest flat.

4. Measurements (approx.)
31" left to right (gargoyle to gargoyle)
18" front to back (including the front gargoyles)
18" high (with Jabba)
13" high from top of bowl to bottom of base (without Jabba)

5. Also, be VERY careful with the gargoyles when taking the throne out of the box. They are all individually wrapped in plastic and the metal ring is wrapped over their heads. Pulling on the plastic can possibly rip the ring off.

6. The top of the bowel is NOT loose on mine. Fits perfectly.

7. The throne is no magnetic. solid polystone.

Hope the info helps!:D

No, for now I'm just planning sets of stair on either side of the throne, extending to the edges of the nook I'm putting Jabba and Co. in. A more extensive recreation of the throne room will have to wait until I move.

I've already extended the shelf out to 18" deep, so that sounds like it will work.

This is all making the whole living-in-a-warehouse thing more attractive than ever....

It does, muchly.

How about the size of the slab exclusive of the gargoyles?

Thank goodness!! There's nothing worse than loose bowels. Trust me on that...

I was surprised to see that the thrones are individually numbered on the bottom--a first for the 12" line, I believe. I received #0788/4200.
