we definately need more guys to go with Jabba!!!!

Well, I wouldn't mind a Lando-in-disguise figure or something, but I think they need to diversify a bit more. People who don't have or don't want the Jabba set aren't going to want to buy a bunch more of his cronies, and I think we've already gotten to the point where you can't comfortably display all of the Jabba-related figures we have without making a huge dedicated display area. Still, I wouldn't say no to some more of Jabba's friends.

I'd buy some cronies... maybe not a skiff full, but a Gammorean (apologies if I misspelled that) Guard, Squid Face, Rees Yees to name a few.

Oh yeah, and a Rancor :rock

Most of you have ssen it but just because this thread still breathes life here it is again!

I'v never noticed it in the movies but were there steps on the sides of the throne? Or is it just something some of you have put there?

There were steps in the film. I can't right now, but I have an overhead blueprint of sorts for the set that shows the stair setup. The number of steps varies from the image but the basic design is there. There was one set of steps that led to a small, flat surface area right next to Jabba's throne, level with it, which is where Bib Fortuna and 3PO stood when talking right next to Jabba. Past that point were a few more steps which lead to the small room behind Jabba where the fire pit was.

My Jabba's throne environment ! ... eerr, well Jabba not here yet ... he takes his time to come  :D

Start recently the SW 12" line and I'm happy to have already this dio/environement complete (Jabba should be here during the week).

that's rad! I LOL'd.

No. I don't have enough room behind the display for it.:monkey2

After I put the stairs on the side I might if I take out the Rancor grate that I was planning on placing in front of my Jabba throne.

Which do you think would be better, the spit at the back on a raised platform or leaving room at the front so I can display Jedi Luke standing on the grate?

Now that's a tough choice. Personally I'd like to see the spit in the background. :D I won't be displaying my Jedi Luke with Jabba because he's too cool of a figure to be turned backwards all the time.
If I do put him in with Jabba it won't be in a movie scene type pose.

My thought exactly. That's why I've got him on the shelf (in Jedi garb with black glove) with my two Bespin Lukes (one a custom original from Hurricane with light-up lightsaber) and Yavin Luke.

I'll probably go with the spit. If you come across any rough schematics or if you see anyone else tackling it please post any images that could help:D.

I've been playing with one for awhile now, more off than on, but I believe Progmatinee was also. I could only find a couple shots from TF.N and there's not a lot of detail on it.

Yeah. For a while I tried focusing on the actual metal spit and "gear mechanism" for the fire pit. But I got discouraged and moved on to other projects. If success on other projects gives me improved skills and confidence, I may try it again.

I just felt like resurrecting this thread - its been a loooong while since anyone has posted in here :)

Over the weekend I was doing some rearranging of my figures and decided to set them up all together for a couple photos.

I still really like my Jabba display, even though I dont give him as much love as my other stuff :)

And you gotta admit, when you get a whole group of SW characters all together with him, it looks really bada$$!
