Princess Leia...

I just have the cheap hasbro 2 pack Jawas and they seem ok. I know somebody posted a template for the leaf fan in one of these threads so I am sure its around. Cool setup by the way. When the Han in Carbonite shows up I'll have to post an updated pic of my setup.

hello ! ok, I'll check the threads again,.........;) its bedtime around here, so maybe tomorrow,....The Han Solo in Carbonite figurine you refer to, its the nice one from Sideshow as well, right!? that thing must be big too....;) not much room available here....I also collect 1:100 and 1:200 Aircraft models...;)I'd love to post photos from my Kotobukiya Darth Vader, R2D2 & C3PO, and a few more Starwars items,...where should I post these please!? Is this an exclusive Sideshow forum!? Am I going to offend anybody here by showing other makers items!?!
bear with me......;)

Nice pictures, but you may want to resize them, since they're a little hard to view at that size.

As for the jawas, the hasbro Jawas with the cloth robes are frankly more than good enough, especially if you weather them a bit. The only small problem is that they aren't the most posable figures, but you can get them to hold a palm frond. I made mine out of a piece of paper and a length of paper clip, painted black.

Here is my current set up. I will probably move some figs around once the Han Environment. The Leia is a custom figure I made after seeing a similar custom somewhere else on these boards.

I love the whole Jabba set up so much I named my collection after it: The Jabbarama. One of the centerpieces of my collection.

Look great man! :rock

thanks fellas,...yes, images look huge !!I thought photobucket resized them!?!
I'll see what I can do, not sure though where to go...:)

One small question, as I said bear with me !!:)
In some photos from the Jabba env. presentation, I get the impression that the original Pipe and Bowl and the bronz backrest arch are a tad smaller....when placing jabba in the Throne, these specific parts look a bit bigger,,...or jabba smaller...!?!?Puzzeld,...theres photos around to show what I mean,...anyway, being picky ;)))
thanks fellas, looking for that jawa soon,.........:)

The jawa is still in progress, as seen in the "Pimp My Jawa" thread. I also need to paint the fan.

Nothing too exciting... but this is my current Jabba set-up. Since I have him in the corner I was able to get a little more room and added Bubo and the Gammy.

my pipe top broke this afternoon,....:(
where it connects to the translucid tube,....I'm so frustrated,.:(
a $200 piece and its ruined,.......:(

I wouldn't call it delicate, you should treat it like any other multi $100 high end collectible, but I haven't found it to be delicate. Hell I sent the bowl and pipe part of mine for a 2 foot drop onto the floor without a scratch, ding, chip or anything to it.

Thank you, I was wondering. I haven't heard of any breaks on this piece.

Actually in the picture you can see my pipe got broken as well... snapped off at the bowl when it took a tumble while I was packing it up. Luckily a dab of superglue will fix it right up.

I chipped 1 tooth on a Gargoyle head, but I hit it with something moving it around, I wasn't careful so it was totally my fault. I've since moved him several times a year for cleaning and such and had no issues with this piece, and I've had it since February 2007.

Definitely more Jabbas than Thrones. The throne was an exclusive set to 4,200 pieces, the regular Jabba was 4,000.

But there was also an inclusive version of Jabba (comes with a pimp glass) that does not have a ES listed, but I would guess its in the same ballpark as the regular release.

Personally I think looks better than the GG set... Jabba especially looks nicer to my eye. However, with the GG piece you have a lot of extra's that Sideshow never made.

Yes, there are more Jabba's then thrones, they figured Jabba alone would sell more than the full deal.

Since Jabba's still for sale, I'd say he should have been as limited as the throne which is sold out.

Personally, and this is an opinion as a huge Jabba ROTJ fan, the SSC piece is a much better purchase than the Gentle Giant. While GG includes more characters and such, Jabba himself doesn't look very accurrate, SSC's looks perfect, and the throne doesn't seem in right proportion and doesn't have the right stone feeling that the SSC throne has. If it's either or, I say Sideshow.
