Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

At $30, even in 2002, the target market for Sideshow's Bond product was definitely different than for their current $120+ figures.

On a side note, and not necessarily Bond-specific, have you guys found and decent bodies that are comparable in size, height, chest, shoulder and limbs to Hot Toys slim?

It's pretty easy to find various narrow and advanced/regular knock-offs, but I haven't located anything to with definitive proof it's similar to a slim. Because I mentioned knock-off, obviously I'm looking for something in the $25 and under range. ;)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Awhile back I bought a ZCWO LAPD "Tiger" and "Jack" that were pretty darn close to a slim.

I'm also on the hunt for more slims -- used my last for Zorin -- so please let me know if you find some. Vice versa.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The TCT tux is definitely on the slimmer side but close...

I could probably fill out the legs a bit to get more shape. Funny though, I had to remove the knee-high Sideshow socks because they were so thick they were bulging the pants around the calves (visible sock line).

Yep, old Sean was a chunky fellow!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Man, all you guys were so right about the Toyscity Tuxedo -- absolutely sharp as a knife!!!

Here's a compare of the...
original Sideshow Dr. No Bond in tux VS. new TCT Tux on same figure...

Forgot the pocket square.

NOTE: on this particular bash I'm using the Mens Hommes TUXEDO SHIRT and not the TCT shirt.

That suit looks almost perfect! :clap Now, all you need is a Walther PP or Beretta 1934 to be screen accurate.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

hey fellas, just bleach for about 10 minutes leaves the tux a grey color, dyed for 20 minutes in RIT Navy blue and I think I achieved the perfect shade of blue! also added a magnet closure to the jacket, once this is painted, it will be THE perfect bond! this is just a quick phone shot

What white shirt is being used here?
I've been looking for a good white shirt since I didn't really like the one that came with the Toys City tux. This one looks very nice.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah it looks pretty nice to me too. The hair looks slightly off though.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The likeness is there, but I have to agree with Platty: the hair (especially on the right-hand side of his face) looks off (read: almost toupee-ish).

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I thought I'd make a little comparison of the current Daniel Craig heads being offered here at the Freaks.

Left to right:
Daniel Craig in 2008, BBKill's "Skyfall" sculpt (painted by Skiman), and Inigou's "Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace" sculpt

Both amazing likenesses. Personally, I think the BBKill head is only, very slightly too rough; the features are a tad sharp. The Inigou sculpt is a little softer... maybe a little too soft. I honestly don't know which I prefer. I missed out on the BBKill head, but I'm getting the Inigou head as soon as it's available. I'm so looking forward to completing my ultimate Daniel Craig Bond.

Thoughts?
