Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

I find that your choice of tone in this post is ignorant.

:monkey3

:D

I think trying to swing the plot of a mindless, fun, SciFi movie with idiotic political agendas/opinions for the sake of troop-bashing from a bunch of armchair generals doesn't belong in a thread about Avatar. And most of those posting here couldn't possibly know what it's like unless they've walked a day in a soldier's boots. They haven't and they don't.

lets all stop being..

and go see this movie and enjoy it, be thankfull we got something good again from James Cameron thats actually Sci-fi/fantasy this time around.

Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

I think it has something to do with yelling "Allah ackbar" as you gun down unarmed people at Fort Hood.

"jihad: a constant struggle to preserve one's faith and defend the rights to freedom of worship"

as for this film, it's pretty obvious that it's IGNORANCE that's the true enemy, not military, non military, bureaucrats, tree huggers or scientists

I was just messing with you nam :D I see what you're saying ......... I have yet to see Avatar so I wouldn't know. My attention was directed towards Hitlers apprentice. :D

Saw it today and I have to say, I did not have any high hopes for it from the off.

Have not been paying too much attention to it or any of the hype/backlash, but I was blown away. Gorgeous effects, great story and wonderful pacing.

9/10

Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

what do u mean by ignorant?

do you mean obama send 30000 more troops to afghan to use as a leverage to negotiate with the taliban, i understand why the country have to do it, what i don't understand is why people want to do it, it is a job to kill, if you have a choice will you become a butcher.

i think Avatar's hidden meaning beside being a great entertainment is disgust of war for benefit, the metal code for oil , well, the army code for private company like balckwater or well army.

Please take your meds.

I would say this post is exactly what he meant by ignorant. Your BS belongs in the sandbox.

:lecture

Unfortunately, the brainwashing that follows after enlistment is what turns them into killing machines...

:lol :lol    :lol :lol

Well said. :clap :rock

Ahem, no more derailing the thread from me.

Anywho...Avatar was a fantastic time at the movies and, IMO, a brilliant piece of cinematography!

I know. I just thought I should explain what my implication was before the ****** machine overloaded and splashed us all with cooties for merely wanting to read about Jim Cameron's new flick.

Edit: Hey Crow. PM BluFalcon and tell him he's been brainwashed by the Army. Hell, do that for any of the other active (currently serving) collectors who post here. Your bulls**t posting is really making you look as ignorant as teemu. We both know you aren't, so please keep that opinion to yourself. Not only is it absurd, but it's untrue. If you wanna talk about brainwashing, you can always talk about how extremists are swaying 12-year-old virgins into believing that if they run bombs into stores and kills dozens of people who have nothing at all to do with war, there'll be 70 virgins for each of them in the afterlife. But that wouldn't fit your argument, would it.

Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

A moron with extensive familial history in and connections to the military. Also one that spent the first 20 years of his life eating, sleeping and breathing the military life, and one who's seen what it does to people when it's done sucking the life out of them. So you're welcome.

Just because you came out mental doesn't mean that others do. Proud Marine here. I'm by no means brainwashed. Anyways, my post was in reference to your rather blatant and ignorant post, that has now derailed a rather innocent thread. So way to go! Now take your political soapbox elsewhere. Again thank you!

Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

I've always been fine with 3d. I've got a friend who will never see another film with it though because one made him feel really sick ages ago.
:dunno

My eyes have hurt a little now and then but looking away and back again made it fine.

Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

:horror Does that mean you've got a bounty on you?! *runs to check priceline tickets to AZ*

It's no secret that Voorhees and I are pretty much polar opposites in pretty much every aspect of life.

He likes to call me a racist because I have a problem with people committing atrocious acts of murder in the name of Allah or Islam or whatever the hell twisted reason/excuse they do it for. Maybe I generalized all of Islam like that once or twice. :monkey3 My bad. Do I care if he cares or what he says about me, not at all.

I'm done talking about it.

So, anyone else see Avatar in 3D this weekend?
