Re: I saw AVATAR in 3D!

PM is awesome indeed.

And I agree with King. 100%. Its an awesome flick. But its nothing new. Only the effects will change movies.

Although, I will have to go with Shai on his comment on the fans. They really do believe this movie was the end all, be all of movies...and they think it's original.

The cliche did bother me on my first viewing, but I went with it. Its a fun movie. Like Star Wars. Not an original plot...but it works.

Dispite all that, its one of the best flicks this year, hands down. And very much worth the wait.

Agree 100% with you.Unfortunately some people will tell you it was a great pop-corn movie...

I have also notice, exactly like the Dark Knight, Fans of the movie will become slightly obssessed with the movie and really delusionnal.Do not attack their caca Masterpieces. They wont take it.Fail.

Why do i see you on every avtar thread basing the movie:confused:

Who cares if Shai likes the movie or not. I don't, and neither should you. That, and it won't change my mind that I enjoyed it and so did you. He can't change what you guys think, and you can't make him budge from his stance. It's just a movie and nothing more, if anyone deserves to defend this movie it's James Cameron himself, not some nerdy movie goer.

Call it the next best thing or caca... who cares.

Good point well made. :rock :D

Saw Avatar. It was crap. Spectacular visuals -- the story was a 3-hour cliche'. The blue indians were saved by the magic tree sending all the forest animals to defeat the evil imperialists ... blah, blah, blah. Predictable. Cliched. Most characters were poorly written and lacked any depth at all. It was a $500M Pocahontas.

SnakeDoc
Predictable and cliche'd, and this coming from a John Wayne fan. The mind boggles.:google

Saw it today.

1. Cliche

2. Predictable

3. Nothing original

But, I thought it was really good. Visually, it is probably the most impressive movie I have ever seen. Some parts were truly beautiful to behold.

Story, meh. I was one part Dances With Wolves, one part Nightbreed and one part Aliens.

NOTHING original in the story, but it was still entertaining. It was pretty much what I expected it to be. Still better than about 90% of the crap that Hollywood turns out on a regular basis.

Cameron makes good movies, thats the bottom line. A solid eight out of ten. I wish I was 10 years old and seeing this, it would blow my freakin mind :lol

I concur....but i still give it 10/10 tho....it's just so beautiful and i really related to the characters. And Sam Worthington is hot! :naughty
