The bad thing with a lot of charaties like those is that either a large chunk of the money donated stays with them or the stuff never makes it to the people because the government of that country gets in the way of the people trying to distribute it.

They are actually designed to do that. Some are even built on rollers there and here in California.

California is due to have a major earthquake at any time, they've said it's long overdue.

This is pretty crazy though, with all the damage it's surprising that there haven't been way more people dead

Yeah, I'm just waiting for that nasty one were are going to get sooner or later.

And I heard there was one city of 70,000 thats now completely gone. They don't know how many (if any) made it yet.

They have been saying that we are less likely for the next big one in the US. They are more worried about some of the other parts of the US that don't normally have quakes.

They've been saying that about California for as long as I remember.

The weather channel had a special on today about earthquakes and about this one. It was very interesting.

They have been saying that we are less likely for the next big one in the US. They are more worried about some of the other parts of the US that don't normally have quakes.

We have at least one tremor a year here in Ohio that you can feel. I've heard there are a lot of them under the floors of the Great Lakes. Don't know how true that is.
