Yeah. For one thing the eyes are too small. Makes me wonder if they couldn't deviate from a standard glass eye size, and couldn't compensate with the face sculpt.Something is off about that face. I think the bone structure isn't quite there, eyes too open, and probably a bunch of other small details are off. I don't see too much Amber there. Infinity Studio's 1:1 is instant Amber recognition.
I mean idk how it can be rumor when the the CEO (James Park) in the video says "...we plan on creating 1:6 action figures..."I'm surprised about this 1/6 rumor/news. Has it been substantiated yet?
I can't see how it wouldn't be a step back for them or even advisable given Hot Toys domination in the market. Maybe they're looking to do smaller batches of figures with higher quality at a higher cost than HT? Guess time will tell.
One thing I do like about JND is that they’ve kept pretty focused as opposed to Queen Studios who seems to be a bit all over the place — 1:6, 1:4, 1:3, 1:2 and 1:1 scale, busts, statues, movie, comic, anime, cartoony.
I hadn't seen the entirety of the video. Rumors about it sprung up about a month ago. I'll take that as substantiation then.I mean idk how it can be rumor when the the CEO (James Park) in the video says "...we plan on creating 1:6 action figures..."
I knew about the 1/6 action figures from the video, but this is the first I’m hearing about 1:4 scale. That would be interesting. I wonder if it would be the same statues in a different scale and lower price point or a randomized approach. If it’s the former I’d consider switching over to 1/4 provided they used the same techniques and the prices were right.Funny thing is, JND recently announced they are going to do 1:4 statues and 1:6 action figures as well.
By the way, for those of you who are into said 1:6 figures, Queen Studios will also enter that market, according to a recent interview.
The CEO says 1/4 statues right after 1/6 action figures in the video.I knew about the 1/6 action figures from the video, but this is the first I’m hearing about 1:4 scale. That would be interesting. To have JND and Queen studios in the 1/6 space it'll put some badly needed pressure on Hot Toys for high end 1/6 scale stuff, and also hopefully lift their game.Funny thing is, JND recently announced they are going to do 1:4 statues and 1:6 action figures as well.

I think Hot toys getting the Star Wars license was a big win for Star Wars fans, but not so much for the rest.To have JND and Queen studios in the 1/6 space it'll put some badly needed pressure on Hot Toys for high end 1/6 scale stuff, and also hopefully lift their game.
Sure the articulation is still a differentiator, however a lot of Hot Toys pieces are put into the collection and rarely change pose due to various reasons.
I'd be very interested in some 1/6 from these two, depending on price and character.
Got to be a win-win for collectors.
I think it's unlikely we're going to see see such a thing. In the interview I was talking about above, the rep from Queen Studios said 1:4 was already too small to use silicone.IF JND raises the bar and we're now seeing silicone heads with glass eyes on 1/6 figures,
I have in my collection a 1/6 silicone head with glass eyes that's almost 10 years old, that would beg to differI think it's unlikely we're going to see see such a thing. In the interview I was talking about above, the rep from Queen Studios said 1:4 was already too small to use silicone.
even eye shapes look different? I know human eyes have slightly different shapes but on the statue one eye is obviously biggerYeah I noticed the wonky eyes looking in two diffferent directions. I have heard of any issues in hand so hopefully they will fix that
So adjustments are possible at home? Good to know.It may just be how the eyes were inserted. My Batman came with one eye more closed than the other and they weren't quite sitting equally. Silicone is maleable so you can just adjust it to be how it's supposed to, I imagine this is what happened here.
