It turned out really well, imo. This is one of my most anticipated statues. Felt like a very a long year and a half but It's a great feeling to finally see that "preparing for shipment" status. Can't wait to get this in.😃

Hopefully I'll have my glass display case and display pedestal ready by the time this arrives.

Agreed cking, from the neck down it's perfection, so based on that alone it is hard to pass up on this version just because you're waiting for something potentially better to come along. That may happen of course, but even if it does happen it could be 10+ years down the line.
InArt’s Superman duo set is probably the next best candidate for a quality Reeve product.

But that’s for a much smaller 1/6 scale figure and the PO is not even up yet so a 2026 release date at the earliest.

the InArt proto from a few months ago left a lot to be desired but has a lot of potential - very similar to the JND set.

Agreed re: Clark's hat. First thing I'll do when I get mine is hit it will some dull coat to take off the shine. It's supposed to be a fur felt Fedora and should not be shiny like they've got it. That's about the only thing I could find fault with costume-wise on both. (Hope they don't make Indy's Fedora shiny too)!
I do think that Clark looks amazing though.
I'll definitely be repainting Indy's fedora when it arrives, based on the prototype. It's just the wrong color IMO.

Some people are saying there is only a 60% likeness on the Superman. I...just...do...not...understand these comments when it looks SO good to my eyes.

I think it looks great, maybe a bit like he hasn’t slept, but it’s the closest well rounded package to date.

Perhaps Queen announces a 1:3 of their own that’ll compete, other than that, this is the one to purchase.

The duel pack looks exceptional,
mainly that Clark Kent and its tailoring,
congrats to those who ordered this, great piece.

Well it is a little better than 60 but I agree with them. It is Reeve's stunt man. The statue just lacks everything which made Reeve Superman. There is no charm or expression here. Just an empty look on the face.

There you go. This is Reeve. JND is a miss in my eyes.
It’s interesting that you say that b/c the very company who commissioned that sculpt for their own limited custom 1/3 scale statue run (NewDreamProps) posted that they think JND’s is the best, specifically the face. “Where we think they have achieved it is still the face”

We're all different. I personally love it and am very happy I kept my pre-order. I've been in close conversation with NewDreamProps about his version and although I admire his passion and commitment, it's never going to have the realism that I'm looking for, which the JND version gives in volumes. It will be interesting to see what NewDreamProps updated version looks like because he has already said that he is aware of a lot of flaws on their first prototype, so the newer one could be much better but even then, it will be painted resin with painted eyes and sculpted hair which isn't what I want for my personal display statue.

This looks fantastic. Not one I’m interested in but I would be stoked if I had this on preorder. I hope they can do a Michael Keaton Batman up to this level, though I’m sure it will be a 2-pack with a full sculpt only on the Bruce Wayne.

That sculpt by itself looks better, however the one on the body looks like Reeve after he had extensive cosmetic procedures done. And like someone said, it lacks the realism, you know it's a statue.

It will be resin, painted eyes, sculpted hair, and yet it will cost more then JND's duo set with glass eyes, silicone, and rooted hair. When I found out the price, I was like "WOAH!"

I mainly posted it because of the sculpt. On realism part I agree with you completely. There is no compassion. I am very happy that you guys are like it. Truly. This is what matters. It is just a disappointment for me personally since this movie had a big impact on my childhood and I expected something else. JND is quality and has an unreal realism. This is undeniable. It is just not working for me.

Looks like they did tweaks on the eyes and mouth area. Looks better than the last reveal. Still kinda gives off a Bizarro Reeves Superman.

JND has nailed the likeness in their sculpt. The only issue is the lighting, the hair (slightly ) and the depth of perception all of that is playing into why people are complaining about the likeness. I am 100% confidant of that. I have placed the unaltered JND head sculpt into film stills from Superman The Movie and every single picture that comes close the the direction he is looking was 99.99 spot on. The issues were how the hair was sculpt from various scenes throughout the movie. I have met Christopher Reeve and I have been a lifelong Superman (CR) I will continue to post the head sculpt into other portraits without enhancement or altering the shape etc. so that you can see the issue is the lighting, the post the lack of shadows etc. @cking You are 100% correct in your assessment. People who cancel will regret it once they see the pics from owners. Mark this post!

I was inspired by supernoldy73 to see how the JND face looks when superimposed onto an actual photo of Reeve from the movie. This is the JND photo which just had the hair deleted off it and blended in with Reeve's hair from the actual photo. What this shows to me is that the JND hair styling may be throwing off people's overall perception of just how good the face sculpt is.
