Yeah, every time I see the MT sculpt I think of that single shot. Which is a good moment to have on the shelf.

Has anyone taken a good photo of the Mtoys Joker yet? I mean without a flash or bright light changing the colors? Just a simple natural light shot?


I guess the tidal wave of Joker figures and outfits has been halted by the coronavirus. I expected to see a lot more choices by now. Maybe in another 4 months... unless the hype has waned by then.

Well, since it is Joker I don't see it losing interest. Even Logan had kitbashes after 1-2 years after its cinema release. I'm still not commited to spend 400-550 usd on a custom outfit since I want multiple looks. I do hope someone makes a stand-up comedy outfit. Too bad Toy Center didn't provide a burgundy vest and white shirt. :/

Idk, I just don’t care for the Mtoys sculpt. Sure, the details and paint are nicer than the toys era, but the likeness just isn’t there imo.

Onesixthvisage on Insta does pretty decent work. He did a few different versions. Looks like they are all repaints of the Toys Era sculpts.

I disagree. The Mtoys face is to long and narrow (and old) even compared to this photo. The tayloring and body on Mtoys is better though. I'll keep my TE while waiting for a grail (maybe swtoys).

Joaquin Phoenix "JOKER" Speculation Thread

I saw a review comparing MToys Arthur to MToys Joker. It appears, as the reviewer suggested, that they have the exact same sculpt (sans bangs add-on).
When I look at Arthur, he looks like Joaquin to me. Add the (IMO) better paint app, and you have an all around better Joker head sculpt. It was a tough choice for me, but I chose MToys. Due to the virus, I have no idea when he will actually ship from Toys Wonderland though.

The Mtoys sculpt def looks like an old man cosplaying as the Joker. I said that when it first came out. From certain angles it might pass for Joaquin but def is not the best choice atm.

Just bought the toy center suit to put on my toys era figure. I still think TE has the strongest likeness

Strange how for some the TE has the best likeness and for others it's the Mtoys. Myself, I don't find that the mtoys looks like Arthur (too old or long or I don't know, something's off).

But even if I'm on team TE, I can say we do not have the perfect match yet and the Mtoys body and tayloring is better. That's why I repainted my TE and used the Toy center suit.

Exactly what I’m doing. Nothing released yet is perfect, but based on what I’ve seen, TC suit with repainted TE headsculpt is the best combo imo.
