Re: Joebizz34's Customs, Re-Paints and Kitbashing *Update-Jason Lives!!*

very true...that's wny most remakes and sequels today of many different franchises aren't usually as good.

Yes, also all of these rehashed remakes need to stop. The talent just isn't the same either and everything is 3D & CGI. In the good old days it took more effort and thought to shoot a great movie, but now it's just a green screen with a computer program. :(

Yep very true. We have hope though. The Evil Dead remake is coming up soon and I've read that there is no CGI used. :clap

I read that too and the trailer is full of gore. I just can't picture watching an Evil Dead without Bruce Campbell though. :monkey2 It will be interesting to see how it stacks up.

I hear ya, but the fact that both Campbell and Raimi are involved behind the scenes is comforting to me. The movie is in good hands and with people that are the original creators so it's all good. Plus if you ever have seen Raimi's original short movie he made for film school called Within The Woods, you can see that this remake is closer to that original vision with a female lead. Campbell was in that short but he becomes one of the deadites and not the hero.

Yep, I have seen Within the Woods a long time ago. It was actually the start of the Evil Dead movies. I know those guys are involved, so I am willing to give this one a shot. Usually I steer clear of the reboots & remakes of my favorite stuff as a kid because they are never better than the original. :wink1:

Yep Within The Woods was the original original Evil Dead. :lol

So it looks like with this remake he is honoring that short along with the first Evil Dead film. Like you said, these reboots and remakes are usually a let down, but I have hope for this one. I even heard a rumor that we may see things in the film that could actually hint to the fact that this is also a sequel. :horror Time will tell.

Now, that would be an interesting twist. Let's just keep our fingers crossed and hope it's worth the 1 1/2 hours of our life :lol. I wonder if BC will make a cameo? That guy is freaking hysterical. He came to my home town in Santa Cruz, CA to do a Midnight showing of Army of Darkness & did a Q & A. Laughed my a $$ off hearing his stories. Bruce and Sam are a great team and I wish they had done ED4, unfortunately the boat has sailed on that sequel a long time ago. :(

Yeah sadly. I would imagine that BC might have a cameo, but who knows. From what I read, the car he drove in the original is what has the cameo which also could hint that this is also a sequel.

Very cool. I would love a cameo of BC with the car in a reshoot of an old scene like what they did in the other movies. :lol Just forget the fact that he is 30 yrs older now. :wink1: That alone would be worth the price of admission. :blissy

Well we'll see what they have in store. From what I read, the car will be seen but not sure if BC will be making a cameo as well. It would be great if he was though. :panic:

:exactly: I see your down on the list for the new custom Ash. I can't wait to see that one when its done. :wink1:

Looks like he revised a lot of the accessories too. Congrats getting on the list of only 20. It should be an amazing grail piece when finished. :clap

Thanks man. I wouldn't mind bashing together my own Ash someday. It's a cool custom to do with a lot of details. I might take a crack at it at some point.

Definitely. Maybe an Evil Ash to compliment your Beto. That could be a lot of fun putting one together. There is an old 12'' figure of him out there that can be used for the base too.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I was thinking about the same thing. :)

Re: Joebizz34's Customs, Re-Paints and Kitbashing *Update-Jason Lives!!*

Ok here I go again with another updated Jason custom. This time it's Jason from Part 2. Unlike my first version, this one is far more custom. The head sculpt was originally done by Suncho and it was painted and haired by Elvis1976. I bought the head sculpt off PapitoMX about a year ago.
