No, I was just using that as an example of the sort of attitude which can lead to bad feeling.

I don't like some ( again not all ) Americans because they're arrogant, full of their own self importance, ignorant of other cultures and ways of life, want to start wars with any country that won't "convert" to their way of life and despite all their political correctness are still one of the most bigoted nations on the planet.

We have a name for those people in the States: New Englanders. And more specifically: Yankees, Red Sox, Patriots, and Steelers fans.

The thing about the Iraq war I disliked was that the UK blindly followed the USA instead of telling them to get lost and sort it out themselves.


If the USA wants to fight wars all the time to keep the arms industry going that's fine. I just don't want to see my country dragged along for the ride when there's bigger problems at home that need sorting out.
All the money spent on going to war could have been much better utilised in doing something about the mass unemployment situation and kicking out the scrounging immigrants.

Anyone that thinks this world would be a better place if the USA or UK or other powerful countries did not keep regimes like North Korea or Iran in check is crazy. You want to live in a world controlled by dictators that force their people to believe they are gods? Kim Jong Il would cut your nuts off for not believing his 38 under golf score for crying out loud. You think people like that should be running the world and you got a problem with America?

The UK and the US are sister nations that share the same ideology on most stuff. If they didn't work together they'd both be screwed.

I partially agree with this. We've been allies for a long time because we see eye to eye for the most part.

Whoever suggested America become isolationists hit it right on the head. Let the other countries fend for themselves. It won't be long before they have their hands held out asking for help. I find it B.S. that people just look for an excuse to bash the U.S. If we help other countries we're guilty of being the world police, but if we don't do anything we get chastised for it as well.

There are people on this board who know me pretty well and they accept me for who I am. If others don't it's not something I lose sleep over.

Believe what you like about me, but I'm perfectly at peace with who I am and what I feel about certain subjects.

My family and friends appreciate my good qualities so the opinions of a bunch of Americans who can't take a joke are less important than the last thing I flushed down the toilet.
