Action was good, but wished it wasn't just taken place in a building the entire movie.
I wish I had seen it at the theater in 3D. I bet it looked stunning.
Only movie I have ever seen in 3D, imo it's the only way to watch this movie. It to me was absolutely awesome!
I agree, I've seen a couple 3D movies but this one was a must in 3D... debating getting a TV just for it!
I'm more curious as to why it seems the producers decided to completely drop the ball on promoting and distributing this.
When I was at SDCC there was no panel for this movie - seems kind of odd as it is based on a comic. I went to a panel that was of movie review bloggers because I noticed Karl Urban was the MC. About halfway through the panel, the discussion turned to Dredd and became a sort of mini panel for this movie. We even got Dredd badges (like what he wears in the film). It was in a small room - and besides knowing that Karl was going to be there, there was zero mention of this movie in any press.
Cut to a few months later when the movie was released...there was very little PR for it and it was only playing on 2 screens here in Seattle and was only here for a couple weeks.
Just seems so odd - it seems like the studio didn't even give this film a chance to be seen.
I missed seeing it at the theater - it was gone before I had a chance to see it and after watching it at home, I wish I had seen it at the theater in 3D. I bet it looked stunning.
But when it works with the film, like in Dredd, it does elevate it.

You mean pre release, out there with folks you've spoken to since release, on here - or all of the above? The movie got such a bad rap that I hesitated to watch it..
The movie got such a bad rap that I hesitated to watch it, but when I did I loved the movie, I know I am in a minority but I did like the Stallone version, but Karl Urban version was more true to the comic. I hope this does well in rental and in sales so they might make a sequel. Karl Urban did a fantastic job as Dredd, I also liked Anderson, I don't know if I would want someone around who could read my mind. Just imagine if she has a nice butt and you are starring at it and thinking...boy could that be embarrassing!!!

Since it's release it's enjoyed mostly positive reviews, from what I understand.
Finally saw this film today... I freaking loved it, I want a figure and a sequel to be made. O_O
