Re: Jurassic World

Oh and here is something that bugs me. The plot suggests people are tired of same dinos so they created a mix. However from a standpoint there's about 570 dinos species 700-900 estimated... I want the film and super excited. But for a fossil record like that you could host new exibits every year for 500 years if it 1 per year...

For that matter how do they get so many different dinosaur species in the first place? I forget, does the book ever explain that? Surely you'd need far more DNA information than one mosquito could provide. Especially considering so many of these dinosaurs never even existed at the same time as eachother.

Luckily I'm rereading the book. From what it states when the epa started a investigation on Ingen for buying and cornerning amber. Wu says that the dna from ground up bones covers about 20% of the strand analysis. The amber from fly (book says fly lol) covers a majority of the dna. But the super computers break down the strand and compose it in 2 hours. Then it shows results for the gene sequence gaps to make assumptions or fixes. However even after that Wu states they don't really know what the animal is till they grow it. However dna comparison can be done between bone and the completed fly strand.

Wait what!? if they use bones too don't they know what animal it is? :slap

It seems I need to read that book again :lol

Re: Jurassic World

I saw the full trailer last night for the first time on an advert on youtube in between vids. It looks OK if, compared to the other 3, a wee bit silly. I just have a hard time buying the size & popularity of Jurassic World after what would've been the highly publicised fatal disaster of the previous dinosaur park or indeed just how the hell they managed to build a successful park, especially that size, in the first place given what we all saw happen in the first film.

But then, I suppose, ignorance is bliss in the film world.

I still have more faith in this being good than The Force Awakens.

Three failed attempts at creating the park and dozens of deaths would not be enough to stop me from going to the completed park. These are DINOSAURS.

Re: Jurassic World

Also, if it were real, I don't think it would fail. Sure there could be accidents, like any Zoo, but not to the point that they'd be abandoning the place.

Is there a reason they have to keep locating the park on a remote island? Is it some kind of tax haven?

Is there a reason?
No.

They should give every guest a big ass gun in case of emergencies. Kids get machetes and adults get a gun of there choosing. Problem solved enjoy your say
