That scene isn't as hard to explain as the bit where Ellie and Muldoon go down to the wrecked car and leave Malcolm in the stationary jeep up top (where he sees the vibrating footprint). Then it cuts to him hurrying them back into the jeep, and he's no longer next to the broken fence, but in a fairly forested area. Never could figure that one out.

The scene is too much fun and intense for any of that technicality BS to matter.

Spielberg crafted a great scene.

First time a high quality T-Rex is on the big screen and people are doing a land survey. :lol
I was going to point out that you are forgetting Tammy and the T-Rex, but apparently that came out after Jurassic Park.

The combination of sfx work on the OG rex breakout makes it amazing to this day.

The JW finale is just more CG **** smashing into each other, nothing feels tangible. Why does the Rex look/sound weird? I wonder if they still had access to the original digital models.

I'd take some more practical effects shots over any of the other throwbacks they tried to shoehorn in.

That applies to every movie these days though, not just JW. Practical effects are a thing of the past now unfortunately.

I assume that people who consider JP to be this untouchable piece of modern art were probably a single digit age when it came out?

Because it is a good movie but it's definitely a "90's Spielberg movie." Moments of total brilliance but an equal amount of distractingly contrived or very forced and eye rolling sequences. Jaws, Raiders, Close Encounters it is not.

Jurassic World is right up there with the best sequels ever made. Not Godfather Part II obviously but I'd put it way ahead of T2.

Without knowing the opinions you are referring to Khev, anything Spielberg did in the 90s was still better than 99% of anything else put out there, and significantly better than any Marvel Studios movie. I think you have to look hard and maybe over-analyze a bit to find scenes in Jurassic Park worthy of "eye rolling" in the context of watching the film. It's a very good film.

Hook, The Lost World better than The Winter Soldier. :lol You card you. Nevertheless, trolling reported.

And I already acknowledged that JP is a very good film. :lecture
