I love so seeing so many people's first time reactions to this film.
I just think there's something so poignant about the two dinos who battled each other in the closing moments of JP teaming up to face that big monster. When you think about it Malcolm was basically saying that what the scientists were doing all the way back in JP was an abomination to the natural order of things, and as a result the natural "humans" had to struggle to survive against the unnatural "dinosaurs." But in JW they didn't just do the classic Terminator thing of flipping "bad guys" into "good guys" but they also made the very abominations of the first film be the "natural" creatures fighting against what to them would be an aberration. Fantastic counterpoint to the first film.
I know I'll be there for the next two movies but I have such a strong feeling that JP and JW will be a one/two punch not unlike T1 and T2 where there's really no room to do the "same" thing again. They've done park closed and park open now. They've done running from T-Rexes and raptors to hiding behind them for protection. Even if they "flip" the Indominous and have smaller versions be "good guy" soldiers like what Hoskins was talking about it'll just be continuing the theme that was already done in JW.

If John Williams ever does the score of a Jurassic World film directed by Joss Whedon it'll be an acronym holocaust in here.

You chaps and your enthusiasm for this film is somewhat infectious. Still not gonna go back to the cinema for it but I'm looking forward to a second viewing of this - while on the other hand I'm not particularly arsed when I see Age of Ultron again.

Disney just announced that they'll open "It's a Small World" the same month as Jurassic Universe.
I'm praying for an extended cut of AOU.
AOU, FR, and JW just loaded the bases for me now here's hoping that The Force Awakens comes in and hits that grand slam.

I can't believe we're seeing this. We were just talking, not less than a WEEK ago, about how Lucas and Spielberg used to do these ads back and forth to publicly congratulate each other for dethroning the other person's movie and hoping one day we'd see someone knock off Avatar.
And here we are. Sure it's just the opening weekend but still, what are the odds.

Just got back from seeing this a second time. I love $5 Tuesdays at my theater! So does everyone else now apparently as it was a packed out. There were nearly 10 showings between 6 and 9 and they were all heavily booked (peeked at the available seating to see which showing was the least crowded at the time). Its just as great the second time. I just love the Rex's entrance with the light of the flare. I hope someone eventually makes a meme or T-shirt of the Rex oooowing and aaaahing over a flare
And to correct something I brought up earlier. Yes, there was one female ACU soldier during the initial I-Rex tracking scene, but she was one of the few that actually came out alive. So Zara is indeed the first female death in the series. At least it was a memorable one.

Whoa, very cool blu-ray gift set!
Great looking set, a definite buy for me. What would be really cool is if the T-Rex has the scars on her neck from her quarrel with the raptors at the end of Jurassic Park.

Hey do not knock Steve Alten's Meg series! I have read them all except the new one and he's known as the new M. Creighton for quite a while. Especially Hell's Aquarium from 2009. I'm excited for this cause the later books include a Mosasaur and aquatic dinos...

That i-Rex might actually sell me on that blu ray set. She looks awesome there.
