That i-Rex might actually sell me on that blu ray set. She looks awesome there.

Still can't get over how lucky old Rex is that Blue came in and saved her ass.

Do we know just how old she is? I mean its been 22 years since the original film, but we don't really know how long go she was hatched right? She might have just barely been full grown in the original. So she's maybe 30 years old? 40? Or was there some kind of accelerated aging process like the I-Rex? I kind of doubt that though as I imagine they wouldn't keep an old, decrepit T-Rex around if they are cooking up hybrids to drive up attendance. And what kind of a life span did a T-rex have? Are we talking dog years or like some reptiles, capable of living decades or centuries easily? So I'm not so sure she's quite and geriatric as everyone is making her out to be. I mean she still kicked some serious I-rex butt before Blue stepped in. She's still the real hero, yet again. She may be a beast, but her heart is in the right place. She just likes to take out goats, lawyers, raptors, genetic abominations, and flares. :dunno

I've already explained this... -_-

A full grown Trex at 20 years was 40 ft long.

The Trex in Jp was already full grown at 4 years so that means the Trex had accelerated aging which Wu mentioned that in JW with the cuddlefish helping that in the Irex. Anywho the JP Trex was growing 6 years every 1 year. So that means in the 26 years it was living since 1989 the Trex is:

156 YEARS OLD... Her muscle strength and etc may have drastically reduced her jaw strength and bone which is why she held up a good fight but didn't kill the Irex when she wrapped her teeth around the Irex's neck. Same as old people they become feeble which is probably why the JW people thought Rexy wouldn't do as much harm next to the Info Center being older and such.

They cleverly covered their tracks there when Wu says they don't want accuracy, they want something exciting. He admits they'd look very different if they were as they originally were. The raptors in JP are closer to Utah Raptors than an actual velociraptor

So if Rexy is about 156 years old, what was the expected life span of a T-rex? That seems old to me, but some tortoises live hundreds of years so its not unheard of for something to live a long, long time. Is it possible she had an accelerate growth rate, but not an aging rate? 156 just seems really old to be charging into battle. So maybe she is still only 26 but was fully grown at 4? I guess we're all reading too much into this in the first place :lol

Well for once I think Henry Wu finally got his dialogue from the JP Novel. He told Hammond the same thing in the novel. That he didn't want to let him fox the errors he just wanted dinos that looked like dinos... Hell Henry Wu novel wise wanted to replace them with better but Hammond kept saying he did his job...

As for the rex sue is the oldest living dinosaur at 26 years old in fossil record... so honestly if she had grown normal she was cutting it close still. Think of her as the Clone Troopers in Episode 2 that's what she is a genetically accelerated grown dino.

Indominous had such an advantage being T-Rex size with those full front arms.

Only because the T. rex's bite force isn't correctly utilised. That first neck bite should have killed the I. rex. But, it's a movie after all and everyone wants to see a good prolonged fight. :)

AOU, FR, and JW just loaded the bases for me now here's hoping that The Force Awakens comes in and hits that grand slam.

Agree

Jurassic World shot in new aspect ratio (2:1) and at 25 fps on 35mm film stock.

Cool

Jye, you were right -- that 3D JP1 is just insane. Hard to watch it 2D now. :lol

Thanks for the advice!

Glad you enjoyed it.

Welcome to 2015. :lol

That's actually pretty scary looking.

So Rexy in this is like Leia in TFA, huh?

:lol

Why is she a different color there.

Nope, IR had a neck made of carbon fiber.

Lab yo!
