Or an Indy.

Doesn't sound like anytime soon.

As for murmurs of an Indiana Jones reboot, Pratt has had very early talks, the agent source confirms. After Disney took over the rights to the franchise in December 2013, reports began to fly about Pratt's role in any remakes. The actor told GQ that someone high up at Disney did mention it to him, but says he told the exec he already has too many action films on his plate.

Regardless, fans definitely want to see him as the adventurous college professor – and Pratt himself likes the idea.

"If that's down the road, that would be cool," he told U.K. talk show This Morning about picking up Harrison Ford's iconic whip.

Chris is 35 thought and Harrison was 39 in Raiders and 42 in TOD. So Pratt has time to ease into the role.

Pratt has recently said it's a bunch of BS. That it was never discussed with him, he even tried to talk to Spielberg on the set of JW about the rumor.
So who knows.

So far this is the second favourite film for the year for me, after Fury Road.

Regarding Pratt as Indy, do you really think after another Guardians, and then a disappointing JW2 sequel, and the inevitable trio of comedies that Pratt will do in the next two years, plus whatever else he appears in... that you'll really still find him so engaging that you'll want to embrace him as Indiana Jones? You guys are going to be so tired of him in three years.

Hell, I've been enjoying him since Zero Dark Thirty... but I'm nearly done now. Let's mix things up, find some new cool guys. like Pratt just fine but is that all we get? Bale to Channing... to now Pratt? That's it?

He's one of those guys that kind of came out of nowhere for me. I mean I watched him in Everwood more than 10 years ago and never expected him to become a big movie star. Same thing with Bradley Cooper.

He will become overexposed in no time and will probably disappear in 5 years time. I mean I remember Josh Hartnett being a leading man in movies less than 10 years ago and now he's hardly in any films.

It is the nature of the business. Most become where-are-they-now fodder. A few last, very few. And some hit it big, disappear for 7 years, then reinvent themselves and have a second "career". For men, its mostly the leading man who later returns as the grizzled hard-ass and/or mentor type (think Sean Connery).

No way will Pratt will be gone in 5 years unless he dies or just totally lets himself go like Val Kilmer. He still has GOTG 2 and 3, JW 2 and 3 and Infinity War, plus a Western directed by Antoine Fuqua and a space romance movie with Jennifer Lawrence. Channing Tatum is still going strong 6 years after GI Joe, Pratt certainly will be as well.

Hartnett chose his own exile. He rejected Nolan's Bruce Wayne. Imagine where he'd be if he hadn't.

Do you really think Tatum is going strong? Tell me how you like Magic Mike XXL.

Just because someone is 'around' doesn't mean you'll see them in anything good after they've "had their shot".

The only one that breaks the rule is Keanu. He's like the Energizer Bunny. But even though his acting is very uneven and sometimes silly I hear he does other stuff well, so....

I think 2014 was to Chris what Die Hard was to Bruce Willis. Like Bruce I can see him having steady work for the next 20 years. Since I don't see him ever being an "old grizzled badass" he might finally drop off the radar in his 50's like Kilmer did.

There are already some people getting tired of Pratt. Though there are many more people getting tired of the Avengersverse and that seems to have no end.

He might. Odds are against him. Willis may have more range than Pratt. We'll see how serious Pratt is about his 'craft'.

Of course he is. He's done tons and tons of high profile pictures including, yes, Magic Mike. Recognizing someone's success doesn't mean you watch or enjoy their movies.

After some major franchise tent pole movies, I don't really view 2nd attempts on 90210 and Magic Mike to count the same way.

But again, time will tell.

I'm looking forward to seeing tatum on TV... where he belongs.

One thing I thought of when the T-Rex made it's epic and sentimental return is that we just aren't going to be able to ever get that with superheroes the way each studio keeps pumping out 2-3 movies a year and the fact that Marvel resurrects dead heroes immediately. The T-Rex's comeback was so amazing. Compare that to Fury's epic save the day moment in the helicarrier in AoU.

"Glad you like the view, Romanoff, because it's about to get a whole lot better." Whoa! THE HELICARRIER! SO AWESOME! IT'S BACK!! I TOTALLY THOUGHT IT GOT DECOMISSIONED...last April. Things can still be exciting but you just never get that extra emotion when there's never a break.

That's one of the reasons I enjoyed DOFP so much. The heart tugging reunion with everyone at the end which wouldn't have worked if we'd seen all those characters 20 times over the last 10 years.

Pratt is also in a remake of the Magnificent Seven.

You know, when I was a kid, the year Die Hard made such a splash, me and friend kept reading that Bruce Willis was going to be in everything, just like Pratt now. So for fun we kept a tally of all the movies Willis was "tapped" for. I think we had 14 at one point in 6 months time. He ended up doing about three of those movies over a 6 year period. Die Hard, Three Rivers and something else.

He just did Jupiter Ascending. The studio didn't know it would bomb, they basically set out to make him a lead in another "Matrix" series. That's why I say he's still going strong. Obviously he's getting the roles. People look at Hartnett and maybe Keanu (and Pratt certainly has more range than Keanu) who dropped off the radar for a number of years but again, that was their own choosing.
