Reading Faraci's stuff, he really just wanted jokes? :rotfl He doesn't give a **** about good writing or good stories, he just wanted jokes :lol

I always thought it was possible that he maybe was smart and that he was really just making a living and a stage name out of angering geeks, which is understandable, but he really is just a big dumbass :lol

Not so fast there:

WW Costume designer Wilkinson explained the deep crimson of her breastplate by saying it reflects the "centuries of congealed blood of her victims."

:lol

I think that WB and Team Snyder overlooked the fact that there's a difference between deconstructing your superheroes and deconstructing your superheroes and doing it WELL.

But perhaps this is where DC needs to actually take a touch of the Marvel magic and just focus on the story, cohesiveness and getting everything 'right' rather than breaking down the characters one-by-one. Give the newbies their primary character motivations (we already know Batman's...we've known this character through eight movies now not including the 1966 one), maybe a vulnerable deconstruction moment or two, don't strain them from who they are and then let them go in JL. Let's 'deconstruct' them in their own solo films...and probably let someone other than Snyder do it.

Takes me back...

Yes but I would never expect them to come out and just plainly state "we just need to execute better." Nevertheless it sounds like they're headed in the right direction regardless of how they want to "spin" the reason for BvS being such a mixed bag.

I think they just realized that most of the audience isn't willing to meet a movie halfway and let it teach them something nowadays, and that if a few jokes go a long way with audience perception of quality, they might as well do that.

Given that it's exactly what happened with Faraci. A few jokes, "they get it now". :lol

Here are the full statements from Zach and Debbie:

"I hate superheroes, especially flavors of the week like Ant-Man and Captain America but if people want these films to be more fun I'll add tons of humor. Murder humor, rape humor, slow-motion humor..."

"Oh for **** sake Zach, please stop TALKING. Listen Faraci, we learned that people don't like seeing their heroes deconstructed okay? Can you just print that and ignore whatever **** comes out of his mouth from this point on? ****!”

All of this is great, but get this: as Cyborg walks up to the group Wonder Woman looks at him and gently smiles. A smile! In a Zack Snyder superhero movie! I was over the moon. This is what I want from a movie like this - people who are at least happy to see one another.

We worked out a theory as to the whole smile thing - the team had tried to recruit Cyborg earlier but he wasn’t interested. Now, with his dad abducted (that has to be who he’s talking about), Cyborg is all in and Wonder Woman is happy he has joined.

The team talks among themselves for a moment, which in and of itself is a miracle in a Zack Snyder superhero movie. They’re all in costume and they’re talking to each other. For reference, here’s Zack in an Empire Magazine interview explaining why he doesn’t like characters in costume conversing:

"I kinda came to the conclusion also that they couldn't really talk in their suits, um, with any credibility..."
"... more than 4 or 5 lines and you start to notice, like wait, these are two guys ... one guys dressed up like a bat and the other has a big red 'S' on his chest, and they're being super serious about how mad they are at each other..."

But more than that, as a hater this scene really went a long way to convincing me that Snyder and company truly understand how they ****ed up BvS. They’re not just paying lip service. They really get it.

Yup! They got to give the "corporate" answer. They got the 'Larry Fong' treatment! :lol
