Saw it last night at a pre-screening,
I enjoyed it a lot! Overall great chemistry from the actors and seeing all of them on screen was so good!

With that said...
As some have mentioned, it's way too obvious what's Snyder and what's Whedon, I was ok with most of it, but I wish we would've seen Snyder's version...
Also the Supestache was painfully weird... almost like Romero's Joker... yikes!
It's a VERY straightforward story with not much room for the deeper character exploration usually done by Snyder, so that was a bit of a bummer.
There are a few fan-pleasing moments that are cool, and
personally I enjoyed it better than Avengers 2 and will watch it again for sure!

Critics are like women...never happy. Amirite, fellow men?

Guy?

Critics- I laugh when I am reading they wish JL has alittle more "BvS edge and darkness" in it. Nothing will please them.....a joke.

What is wrong with the critics reviews, these people don't know what they want. That's why they are called "critics" because all they do is criticize everything. Never happy

Gaspar, is there a current Sci-fi or comic book movie you enjoyed? What's you opinion of Bladerunner 2049? I thought it was pretty good but if they made a Justice League movie with the same tone and bleak outlook I think it would be horrible. Is that what you're hoping for? I'm not trying to be mean, really, I just am trying to get a sense of where you're coming from.

Reviews are all over the place on this one. I probably won't see it until the weekend or next week, so hopefully won't trip into any spoilers. I hope it does well, because I want the DCEU to continue growing.

BR is enjoyable but talk about a mess in story and some of the acting- well a unique vision but hardly a great film. The original still far superior to the sequel

at least they are not 90% bad like BvS:lol

JLA is what happen when you force a director with a vision (like it or not) to listen to what the ''public'' wants.
For once there was a director of a huge franchise that had been given carte blanche to give his own spin, not a yesman nor a comitee of execs. But fanboys know better.
There you go, no cinematography, no drama (the return of you know who is treated in a way to make sure nobody is traumatized, no implications whatsoever), no intensity, no stakes.
A harmless, by the number, entertaining pop corn flick.
Mind you it's as good as most movies of the genre but still to think of what could have been... Bvs might be a mess but has emotion, gravitas, intensity.
Nothing it's all gone... Almost wanna cry... Oh and **** Elfman, music is ******.

As for the reshoots, you can play the wig game to know where they are. And yes it's mostly to add jokes.

You got it- the vision is twisted to public tastes . I still say BvS will eventually be at the elite of the comic book genre as years go on...

Yes I've never understood the desire to read spoilers mere days or even hours before seeing the film for yourself. Even if the movie ends up being mixed or sucking why sabotage any chance of being wow'd by surprises right at the last second? You wait four years to see a movie only to read spoilers the day before the wait finally comes to an end? :cuckoo:

Yeah that’s just nuts.

I can totally picture an Empire Strikes Back era version of Gaspar and crows yucking it up and joking about Vader being Luke’s dad and sharing pictures of how Vader reveals it to Luke the day before the opening of the movie lol.
