Is this as bad as Batman Forvever??? Even tho we will still watch it!lol

Vanity Fair's review is blistering....
https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/11/justice-league-review
Justice League awkwardly tries to move away from much of the forbidding tone of Man of Steel or B v S, a perhaps studio-mandated attempt to lighten things up, to add some effervescence like the kind Tony Stark and friends enjoy together. After suffering a family tragedy, director Zack Snyder took a step back from the film, and Joss Whedon—borrowed from The Avengers—was brought in to bring it over the finish line. He has a co-writing credit, and his syncopated, geeky-snark stamp is peppered throughout the film. But Whedon’s humor is grafted on in too-obvious ways; it sticks out incongruously amid all the stilted mechanics of this alarmingly basic movie. All these Whedonisms have the opposite of the intended effect. They give off a strenuous hum, the desperate sound of a turd polished in vain.

More like that - RUTHLESS. :horror
The film looks terrible, from a visit to Wonder Woman’s native Themyscira that plays like a cheap video-game cut scene, to a dopey big bad (voiced by poor Ciarán Hinds) who looks, well, like a villain in a playable video-game scene. There’s little inspiring in the way of aesthetics—not even Clark Kent’s lovingly sun-dappled Kansas corn fields, captured with some poeticism in Man of Steel, look good here.

:dunno Still, the audience for this film doesn't read Vanity Fair:lol and IMO none of this is gonna affect the weekend BO, or at least not much. 'Coz it's Batman, WW, and Superman.

Do people realize that a movie can be dramatic, have weight, be well-written and not be depressing or that it doesn't have to be neon colored and a joke a minute to be fun? What the hell happened to nuance and a balanced hand when making movies?

Marvel, and in a much larger sense modern Disney

Do you really think Weadon ruined this movie by himself
No, he had help from WB.

and Zack's version would have been good?
Yes.

ZACK RUINED THE DCEU MOVIE UNIVERSE!!! Hardly anyone liked his dark, teenage angsty crap version of Superman or the DC Universe in general
Non-sequitur.

I'm sorry.
You should be.

Hey, I know Joss(I can't pass up a good quip)Weadon was not the answer
Only sensible thing you've said.

This movie probably deserves to be crapped on but Zack failed big time. Uuuugh.

So according to todays audiences if a millennial watched batman and robing Today, they would think the MCU was being copied? Only two movies in their whole entire line up are serious the rest are slap stick comedies that insult your intelligence on a lot of things.

Prepare to be disappointed as DC transitions into the same format. It’s all about the Benjamin’s and Snyderverse wasn’t bring in enough for the studio......

Then you can dislike both franchises equally.

I really do not dislike both, I am freaking glad we got both, i just do not like the play safe MCU formula thats worked for them at first but now it is getting stale, DC has always been dark but they have tk adapt to times, nothing will ever top the 1966 since its clever, hilarious, family fun, but as. Geek i just love we are finally getting the superheroes in the silver screen, two decades ago we would debate on how they would look, and now we can pick and choose.

Problem lies with the average crowd thats spoiled and are not appreciative of whats on the screen. Like everyone said before they would not know what a good movie is

I’m still going in spoiler free other than knowing Superman obviously is back but that’s not a spoiler.

What is a spoiler is HOW, WHY and WHEN he makes his big return, under what circumstances and what he looks like plus the how and why of the entire movie really.

Just because a movie is divisive or changed director and tone does it automatically mean that i’m just going to spoil the big moments in the movie by looking at spoiler photos or read about the climax and post credits scenes.

I learned never too just give up on a movie until i’ve experienced it with my own two eyes and to not let the words of others ruin anything for me.

I’m still very much looking forward to my showing tomorrow.

When my love of superhero and star wars movies finally dies inside i’ll just go and watch C-SPAN 24/7 but until then I enjoyed Thor 3 and hoping for the same with JL and TLJ.

I've seen one promo of his, he tries to run with the same arm and leg :slap::slap::slap::slap::slap::slap:

She said that he kicks his legs to the side like a small child. So she thinks that it was either his "creative" choice to look like that or he really doesn't know how to run like a normal human being :lol She must be nitpicking, because it can't be that noticeable.

Seeing critics complain about mainly 2 things. One is the story is not fluid and we all know why WB again getting involved with the run time and second people saying the villain is weak. News flash most villains are weak and you cant start off with the biggest baddest villain because the league has not assembled yet. DC has been promoting "Unite the league" this movie has always been about UNITING THE LEAGUE the emphasis is on the heroes NOT THE VILLAIN. And these "critics" have their say and effect peoples minds because they are to stupid to understand the bigger picture just like they where to stupid to understand Supermans arc.

Yes I've never understood the desire to read spoilers mere days or even hours before seeing the film for yourself. Even if the movie ends up being mixed or sucking why sabotage any chance of being wow'd by surprises right at the last second? You wait four years to see a movie only to read spoilers the day before the wait finally comes to an end? :cuckoo:

Hell Ragnarok has already been forgotten. Cbm's aren't built to last anymore, only to entertain for two hours before immediately being forgotten. They have become the literal epitome of disposable entertainment.

:goodpost:

****, nothing is built to last anymore. If you stumble across a film that really sticks with you, consider yourself lucky, because it's definitely not the norm. We're a society that receives massive amounts of information and entertainment at a faster and faster pace. We're being conditioned to consume and then quickly move on to our next fix.

Critics- I laugh when I am reading they wish JL has alittle more "BvS edge and darkness" in it. Nothing will please them.....a joke.
