So what does a stoppage or hiatus give the franchise?

The grown up or “true comic book” approach hasn’t made enough money for the studio and it has shown the studio not enough true comic fans exists to support that style.....sooooooo beyond a select group getting what they believe is the right approach I don’t get the benefit of a stoppage from studio stand point. Reboot and return with a better plan to strike while Iron is hot maybe...

If they reboot there'll be at least a 3 year hiatus anyway, they have to stop and rethink anyway.

If it's a reboot what they're planning.

Plus a little detox is good.

Obviously making the MCU switch on the move did not work.

Random Question. Do most of you literally get mad if someone enjoys every single MCU movie?[emoji23][emoji23] sure looks like it lol

Puts hand up..

I've enjoyed every MCU movie, yes even Thor TDW. Watched it only again only last week. Oddly I replayed Wonder Woman, Guardians 2 and Spidey Homecoming all over three consecutive afternoons this week, and enjoyed the first two more than my initial watch, but turned Spidey off during the prom scene when he figures out Vultures identity. Maybe too much superhero fatigue for the week, or maybe just a mentally fatiguing day, I'm not sure.. Head space can't be the best when you turn a movie off to go edge trim the lawn... :dunno

There are great superhero movies (TDK) and there are terrible superhero movies (Superman 3 - seriously, I watched that for the first time in 30 odd years when I picked up the bluray set, as my childhood only set up vague recollections of Supes flying through the field to beat Child Death by Harvestor, and Evil Kryponite Supes vs Good Supes... but what a true, blue turd of a movie. Call me crazy but I prefer the 4th movie, maybe just because like Jaws Revenge it returned to the original character base..) I'm totally digressing here, but the only superhero movie in recent years that has really left me cold is Suicide Squad. It's the only movie of it's genre that I've fallen asleep midway through on my couch, woken during the final act and though "is it over yet?"... I'll rewatch it again one day to give it another chance.. maybe..

Neither did grown up approach that’s why they changed direction....so they’d take time off to plan better but it’d likely be to the tone of MCU because that’s where the money is and the real fans would still be upset..

I've seen MoS and Man from Uncle. He's boring in both. No presence as they say.
But did you see JL? He's good, I'm telling you, dead-on Classic Supes in personality; cheerful, dominant, proactive, smart and quick witted, he's the complete opposite of what you've seen in MoS and BvS.

And he's fine in MoS too btw, at times.

And that'd be fine.

What was so wrong here was trying to take the Snyderverse, with its very defined and settled approach, and twist it until it freakishly resembled the MCU.

Wait a minute, u guys sweet talking me on how JL is doing bad.

Explain this, this ain't reboot material yet ;_;

Oh yes it is buddy. It won't reboot. But execs should be scrambling. WW opened to 103. Budget about 150. JL looks to open between 97-110 on a budget (reportedly) 300 mil. Food word of mouth pushed ww to 820 mil. JL has not to good word of mouth and 3 more weekends to crack 1b. Not happening. This is bad man. Business wise. Not talking about the movie itself

Did you see the movie? He's fine actually.

They pretty much nailed Superman in this, of course it's jarring as **** considering the surrounding circumstances, but it's there.

It was so jarring it was the #1 thing that ruined the movie for me. There were a lot of other things too. But this Superman was absolutely nothing like we saw in the two previous films.

Wonder Woman 92%
Man of Steel: 55%
Justice League Movie: 43%
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: 27%
Suicide Squad: 26%

48.2% average

WW doesn't really deserve that high a score. And BVS doesn't deserve that low.

I'm worried about DCs direction. I'd be horrified if it went campy fun like Marvel. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But to me is at its best DCs when it's a serous drama

JL has not to good word of mouth
That's what I've been saying, people noticeably liked it.

Normal people.

You see Wor? This post confirms my opinion :lol

For me, Ben and Henry is not the right actors for the MCU approach. I would have picked two younger actors for Batman and Superman.

Yes! Everything Snyder built was perfect for intense action dramas. I adored the direction. The only problem was the writing. I personally blame Goyer. That dude is hit or miss to a rediculous level
