Just watched this over the weekend. Didn't watch it in theaters but figured I had to eventually see it just based on the fact that it's a Justice League movie. I couldn't not watch it.

Based on all my friends input (who are much bigger DC fans than Marvel fans), taking a few glances in here, and seeing its RT score, I was already prepared to waste a few hours on a terrible movie.

Funny thing is, because I was expecting it to be so bad, it didn't live up (or down?) to my expectation. As the movie kept going, I kept saying to myself, "it isn't that bad."

I may not watch it again for a long time, which is probably a good thing. It's not often that a DCU movie exceeds my expectations :lol

To be fair, I think it's Affleck that wanted out (depending on the time of the day he gets interviewed).

I really wish they'd release the Snyder cut (if it exists). I'd really like to see what the studio decided to change and if it was for the better or not.

The movie looks like it could of been bettter if Snyder made it. There’s a video that compares the old and new trailers and it’s interesting

I think this whole Snyder debacle was ****ed from the get-go. Too many people were shouting much louder than those that enjoyed the films. WB heard the louder voice and gave in. My bet is Snyder release is just a myth and if so, WB won't want to show it to show how they ****ed up. It's like if Apple decided to release a video of their Chinese production workers.

My theory is the Snyder cut is the same movie with an injustice style story line in it also. THE BVS dream sequence was not a time waste Snyder doesnt leave little deatails out let alone big ones like that. So they just removed the injustice story line.

What WB did to Snyder in Justice League was indeed a bad move in my opinion. They even tried to spin it as Snyder stepping down due to his personal loss. If rumors were correct, he was already fired even before his daughter died.

There was trouble already before Snyder left:

I don't know if the Snyder version would have been better (BvS was certainly not promising) so maybe WB actually saved the film, or not. But WB already screwed up with Suicide Squad in a similar fashion. They should have stuck with their guns, let the Snyder films finish then pivot afterwards if the results were not up to expectations.

WB just wants to watch the world burn.

That big stack of money Joker burns? That's JL's billion dollar profit that didn't happen.

You know what. I was gonna right a whole essay what didnt work for me in the movie. And basically its all what whedon reshot. That and the 2 extra clips of superman they saved for the dvd. If we got that "snyder cut" at least that damn universe would be consistent.

Meh. The Snyder cut still would have had horrible CGI, horrible villain, and everyone moping around like they just found out they had butt cancer. The jokes Whedon added would be gone, which would have been a good thing, but the film wouldn't have turned around the DCEU. The only thing I wanted to see from the Snyder version was Superman in the black suit just so I could get the HT figure.

I'm sure WB wanted Snyder out right after BvS got the critical drubbing. Too late JL was ready to shoot. So they for some reason tried to create a good PR thing inviting the press to the shooting- like that would be enough to save the reviews. They let Snyder guide their films and switched course and cut him lose right in the middle of his "trilogy" Shame.

WB was right to get rid of Snyder. MOS was an epic movie in my books but bvs and jl where average and that is not good enough for DC movies. At least they course corrected sooner it was always going to be a messy process just get it over with sooner rather than later was the right approach.

BvS Ultimate Edition is easily my top favorite movie. Now I'm not saying BvS is super intellectual, but if people were understanding (something that is a rarity by social design) they could at least see the angle. Rather than throw a meme or tantrum, maybe just a simple 'oh, I see, not a fan, but i see'. Mainly the Martha thing. Yes, at face value; it is cheesy, but everything leading up to that moment was placed to explain significance. Is like when I see people bitching about TT Go. That show IS NOT MADE FOR A 20+ year old...get over it. But for some reason, logic become corroded to opinion.

Maybe it is the OCD in films for me, but I just hate seeing things not finished as they were meant to. Like TFA being off in the shadows compared to Winter Soldier and Civil War. Or no Amazing Spider-Man 3, or Snyder Justice League, or Kingdom Hearts III.

BVS UE was much better than the theatrical cut and paste movie but it still had issues which should not have been. Why piss off the fans with that ninja turtle doomsday its not like everyone was on board with the DCEU at that stage and they make a controversial copy doomsday. Also throw in the mix a controversial Lex. Stupid in my opinion.

Snyder already stated that Doomsday was coming back. That was not his final form. So I don't see that really as an issue. As for Lex, I actually like it because he does a better job of having a distaste for Gods and Metas. Obviously that's also circumstantial as I find Lex Luthor incredibly dull and boring. If Norman Osborn was not Green Goblin also, I'd find him under the same boat as Lex.

That was such an underappreciated Martha-stroke. With the utterance of one word, Bats' entire motivation is turned on its head.

Still can't believe I've been a lifelong Bats/Supes fan and never made the connection...

It's an issue to me because Doomsday is an iconic villain and having him in bvs as a creation of lex luthor is so stupid and disrespectful to the comics.

Nothing Snyder has done with the DCEU was good, going back to MOS. I've said this many times but we haven't had a good live-action Superman movie since the 70s. And on top of that, there have only been 4 movies since Superman 2. I'm baffled as to how that is.

JL was a mess with or without Whedon's involvement, so all this crap about a Snyder cut being so much better is just that, crap. Aquaman won't be any different. WW was mediocre at best and was basically a female Captain America, so I can't imagine the sequel being this all amazing film. They need to do something different and try to stick more to the source material.
