Metacritic has 11 positives, 17 mixed, and 3 negatives. And a lot of the mixed are saying things like "half-baked but still entertaining." Hardly anyone seems to be coming away upset but I'm sure the RT score will suggest that everyone hates it.

Even the 1 positive review starts with a qualifier: messy and flawed...

Even if its mildly entertaining to see "the gang together", this sounds like it will be forgotten by next year. And that's only a month and a half away.

Hell Ragnarok has already been forgotten. Cbm's aren't built to last anymore, only to entertain for two hours before immediately being forgotten. They have become the literal epitome of disposable entertainment.

They're the new Westerns.

I honestly can't understand the obsession with RT on this site. It's only ok to like a film if that site says you can. :dunno

RT is interesting. I doubt people live and die by it. There a movies that have been a massive success that received rotten scores. They are movies that did poorly at the bo and had 90%+

It is not that we are obsessed bucko, it is that the general public will either watch or skip a movie based on rotten tomatoes.
Everyone in here is gonna see it regardless. We are not the problem
The problem is the middle america non nerd non comic readers that based spending 15 dollars at the theater on what the score will be

A bad movie might only pull in only a few reviews and those could be from diehards who like it no matter what, so you get a bad movie with a high rating.

Conversely, a great movie might be boring to most -- like BR2049 -- and perhaps gets many poor ratings but the film might actually be good (depending on your point of view).

I really don't think RT alone makes decisions for people. I'm sure most people have 2-3 sources they trust and if all are in agreement, then that will sway them.

Yeah, I really think it simply prepares you mentally for what to expect more than anything. I don't think it keeps masses away. Or most movies would never be seen.

There's so many reviews right now that I actually think they all dilute each others opinions. You can always find a review that fits what you want to believe about 'your' movie.

RT is just a tool used to advertise certain movies as "Certified Fresh". Nothing more, probably less.

I'm not defending JL in saying that since I haven't seen it, that's just my two cents on RT.

I see alot of folk saying the Villan is weak in JL....but isn't every Villan we have had been weak in so far across both universes.
With the exception of Loki in the FIRST film and Zod from MOS all the others have been poor. With the highlights of dire being Ultron,Mekelith, Trevor.
