Capes are very hard to do, with risky outcomes. Took me a long time to get my Keaton 89 to any form of satisfaction. I have Henry's AMAZING Returns figure and it has a decent cape, but I would call the cape that figure's shortcoming. It's cut very well, has great BR style points which are very deep scallops, and seamed in several places, and so has a special shoulder area foldover accounted for. It hangs well enough, but, like many custom capes, is a typical thin pleather, that in 1/6 scale is not all that weighted, so it doesn't really drape. It hangs ok though when posed just right. It is a little stiff around the shoulders, again, a curse of many 1/6 capes, so some thinner material is an answer in future to me.

Once, a while back, years ago, I saw a unique Returns custom (or maybe a set of them?), on Ebay, that used some kind of really thin real leather that had a special name which eludes me. It was REALLY soft and heavy looking for it's thin-ness, and actually looked a bit glossy, but looks really nice and hangs great in 1/6th. That material would be my choice if a production one was made by any company. But what kind of leather it really is, is currently a mystery to me. Maybe someone else knows. I've been after it for years.

If I find pictures of it (it was an old auction), I will post them. Wicked stuff!

Anyway, Batman movie capes. Yeah. Tough to do.

Too bad you couldn't remember what the cape material was, Les. I've looked in many different places for just the right stuff but could never find the perfect stuff.

That Returns Bat at the bottom center looks particularly sharp. Love the Bruce Waynes, Jokers, and Bob too. Incredible collection.

Thanks, Deckard. That's one of Shawn's Returns figures. No idea what year though. Bob has a stand in head by the way. The actual one is in Les' talented hands at the moment.

i hear ya. i have quite a few things coming from THE MAN. got one box coming this week. ill be like kramer putting on a warm shirt from the oven when i get it. "ooh maamaa"

I picked up a Keaton Batman from Sovereign years ago and I had no idea there were other versions of the head until I saw this thread! Could somebody look at the pics and tell me which "generation" head it is? The ears definitely feel rubbery...

The head looks like the one Sovereign used at first when starting this Freak group, but the cape looks different from the material he started using once the Freaks group started placing orders.

Looks to me like right before the Freaks, the mouth has the Freaks style compared to the really early ones like you got Coco.
