No more old blue eyes for Keaton...

And my WIP Court House Keaton/Wayne. Still gotta do some work to the scarf, get him in a gray suit and put some paisleys on his tie.

That is so cool ! I jsut got the CUstom BAT from JOn and now I just need a Keaton and I am in . Can anyone post some of recent pics of the Jon Bat from customworks ? Still trying to get my camera to work :)

looks sweet! coco sweet! actually you have THE BEST sovereign batman. i have the version right after that one. that was the one i always wanted and thought i was getting. (looks to the sky - COOOO COOOOO!)

Thanks, doc! I think it's the best SS Bats version too. Sooo glad I was able to snag one finally.

YMBA!, here's a pic I just took of Jon's Batman. I got mine over a year ago. The cape is pinned back in a major way to get thet look. Hate the cape. Hate it.

Coco, with you brush skills, you should clean up that flesh tone showing on the cowl around the face.

Really dig the Wayne figures. While in all the movies, Bruce Wayne isn't much compared to Batman, I have a hard time having a Batman without a Wayne figure to compliment it. Trouble with Keaton is finding a good head.

I will one of these days, MaulFan. I actually never intended to keep this one (long story). Not only the cowl touch up but the overall skin color is way too pale. Someday...someday.

Thanks for posting the pics. I jsut bought the Jon bat on the Bay from a guy for $130 shipped. He gave me a deal because the figure was airbrush by the seller giving the figure a glossy look. I ws on the fence because you said the cape is not quite right but I got a deal so I am happy. You are correct the cape really is a downer .thanks again for postign your figure
YMBA!

Your welcome! Good price on that Bats. What parts did the seller airbrush? Any ebay pics you can share?

Coco

I am having problems with getting pics up ( probably user issue:) but I will see what I can do but what the seller did was air brush the head and the body . I got a deal because he accidently overspray the cape as well and so he gave me a deal. The figure other than the cape being overspray is actually pretty cool.

Interesting. I wonder why he decided to airbrush the body.

Yuh shir got a purdy mouth, boy.:lol

"you mean the clothes your mother laid out for you"
"you said much worse things than me. i was just trying to keep up! "
:rotfl

you know im sure hot toys will be putting out some batman keatons and when they do. we can buy purfect capes from toy anxiety and make MORE versions of our caped crusader lol

i was thinking since i have the template maybe i can get better material and voila! cmon coco you know you want to do it

That's assuming HT can do the cape right. The cape is a tricky one and a challenge for anyone making Keaton Batman.

I'm hoping HT can get that cape right. We'll see. That's if they ever get around to making one.

Doc, I don't have a Henry Wayne Bats. The cape looks nice in pics though. If you make a template and find some good cape material I'm all in. :rock

Based on the number of Keaton portraits I've seen and the fairly close likeness they all achieve, I would say getting the cape right would be a bigger and more important challenge and task for HT making a figure than the sculpt.

Agreed. Keaton's features are distict enough that HT shouldn't have a problem getting the likeness down. The armor shouldn't be a problem either. If they make the cape in a thin enough material and construct it like the film version, in 8 sections, they should achieve the look well enough.

Yeah, I'm just worried because their Bale Batmans haven't demonstrated anything special in the cape department, and I mean pattern, I know some have issues with material thickness but for me it's more getting the right pattern which they haven't. I don't own the 2005 Begins figure, but the Begins suit release with TDK has an odd cut to the cape that doesn't really replicate how that cape lays on Batman in the films. It's not just enough to make a cape for Batman, often the cape has a specific look and behavior too it that is as key as any likeness. Les' cape work on his Keaton is the thing I like most about his figure, same with his ANH Darth Vader, he really knows how to work his capes to get proper drape and flow. The trouble is, the way it's made, I'm not sure the custom figures you buy can really be manipulated once the cape's made, seems like it has to be done at the production level.
