You may notice the thug's feet are off the ground in the last two shots. LOL. Everytime I hiked him up on the clasp holder, he would slip down, so these were live action shots.


Maybe someone can gif me if you can make it work. I'll add it to my sig.

Those pics won't work for a GIF very well. Not aligned.

What you need is to lock off your camera, or just set it down, then stand Batman with cape down, then another shot with him starting to raise his cape... and so on, about 4 frames at least... until he's got his cape out like a Bat. That would be cool!!!

I can make a GIF from that if you keep him in one position and the camera steady. Try it, it will look great in your sig.

These just won't work because the angles change too severely.

great to see Shawn back in a positive light. may have to get one of these. did he change the head sculpt tho? looks like it has a more "pucker up" look to it. oh and i did see a versdion once w/ a removable cowl but i believe it was a limited Asian version.

I also notice that its a different headsculpt from the one I got few years ago. Anyway, it's really great to see Shawn is back on track and look so much forward to get more versions of batman from him.:chew:emperor

These just won't work because the angles change too severely.

I agree, the animation would look more like a slideshow of pictures than an animated figure, even to do something simple, you'd need same angle and what not.

Perhaps you could take a few shots from the same angle with the good held at different heights so the animation would be like him picking the guy up, similar to the T-800 I did for you.

Yeah I intentionally shot this scene from high to low angle for effect. I did a quik clik slideshow thing in my pic program and it wasn't that bad, but yeah, angles off but it was still fun to watch.

Figs are put away so I guess I'll try the cape thing another day.

UPDATE from Shawn.

Since Paul received his, I inquired with Shawn about when batch 2 would begin, here's what I got back.

I'm wrapping up batch one now. Took a little extra time, I had to make a new head mold. I'll be starting batch two tomorrow or Wednesday

This is tentative of course, and with the quality we're getting, it's worth letting him take his time getting these complete

Ya, given how involved this figure seems to be from a collector's POV, I expected it to be a month before batch 1 was finished, so I'm blown away to know I will probably have mine in a few weeks. Very excited about getting this as it will be my first purchased custom.

You can tell the wrinkles in the cape are pretty much gone now, about 80-90 % reverted to form. The fold lines which appear now are from folding the cape back for poses in the last day or so. :blackbat:blackbat:blackbat

I can't wait to get mine to photoshop him into that final shot, bat signal prominently in the sky, the Dark Knight watchful over the ailing Gotham. Man, I'm loving every minute of this.

Same here, at least Batman. On the subject of Joker, I know some of you guys are picking up the V2 Joker when it comes out, but I'm sketchy on the details. Is it for order yet, and if so where? If it's not for order yet, when and where will that take place. I'm not sure if he'll fit in the budget or not, but I am giving serious thought to it and wouldn't want to miss out.
