Re: Keaton Batman

me neither! that returns version looks incredible! although i remember the cape being slightly different from the 89 version. wasn't it less textured? some of shawn's older returns figs have the smoother cape.

still - looks amazing. you're one lucky dude, natrix!

Re: Keaton Batman

sorry dude - UK. maybe you thought i was from australia because i'm so slow to most threads. that's just my brain being lame rather than a timezone thing.
No need to be sorry for my mistake. The waiting is the hardest part. It'll get there soon enough, and you'll be all the more happy for it.

Re: Keaton Batman

Can't wait to see more pics :monkey5

Re: Keaton Batman

Natrix, your lack of promptness with pics has forced me to post yet another one of mine.:D

Your Returns Bats looks awesome! I'd really like to see more pics of that one.

Re: Keaton Batman

:rotfl Don't blame you Coco. Not when it looks that awesome.

Great stuff, Guys, Keep 'em coming and congrats natrix, finally. Geez!

Btw, that Returns looks amazing, post up more pics dude. :D

Re: Keaton Batman

Sorry I'm late...but more pictures! Also, I am not nearly as good at taking pictures as some of the masters here but they turned out ok.

I haven't futzed the capes with a blow dryer to get them to lay better yet.

Tried to capture a "cape swish" turn. You can actually get a little head movement with the V3.

Couple for the people who wanted to see a comparison with a Takara Batman Begins

Next post I will put up some pictures of just the Returns version.

The eyes are stunning, Shawn really nailed that psychotic look Keaton had in his eyes for some of the Returns shots.

Re: Keaton Batman

Wow, that is really fantastic looking. I wish I liked he movie more :monkey1

But these are the first time I've ever seen really good pictures of his figure and I'm really blown away.

You liked my pictures? Thanks!

Minor nits about the Returns figure...wish it had a glossy chest logo (both figs actually) and I wish it had the same upgrades as the V3 '89 Batman for the boots (one leg is a little longer by about 1/4" than the other and the boots are resin so there is no articulation there) so he tilts a little.

I think I might have preferred the resin head on the '89 version, the rubber ears looks a little rough on this one. It is nice to have a little neck movement but I would prefer to have a more detailed sculpt instead.

Still I am very happy with them!

Re: Keaton Batman

Those are some fantastic pics, Natrix! I agree, I'd prefer a resin head over the softer material on the v.3 Batman, but it's not a big deal.

You can just add a bit of gloss coat to make the bat emblem shiny, right? I think I'll do that.

Re: Keaton Batman

No, really they are good clear shots... don't doubt your powers!

Thanks!

It is a new camera I bought after my old Sony died. I have had if for awhile now and I think I am starting to figure out the settings. I was having issues in lower light and I think I got that pretty much taken care of. I was pretty happy with the way these pictures came out without doing any post processing.

Terrific shots Natrix and congrats. The figures look superb.

Re: Keaton Batman

yeah i have to agree, those photos are awesme. shame about the articulation on the returns head. but on the other hand - it looks insanely nice. it might have to be my next acquisition!

Re: Keaton Batman

I prefer the '89 costume (and film, although I still love Returns), but I think the Returns figure seems to look more like Keaton. Seems more natural in the mouth department. Also I like that his head seems to be ever so slightly tilted downwards... makes for a more natural pose. All of the pictures I've seen on here of the '89 figure make it look like he's looking up in the sky (or has a broomstick up the back of his costume) and can't look dead ahead or down.

I love the feel of the Returns head (although is the '89 head more the correct width?)

Either way............. great figures!!! :rock :rock :rock (maybe one day I'll get one... after my wedding, lol)

I've actually been wondering the same thing. Can someone here tell us if Shawn's 89 Batman can tilt his head down a bit to have the same angle as the Returns Batman in Natrix's photos? Is it possible? pics? Thanks guys.

He does look like he's looking upward in many shots.

Re: Keaton Batman

Shawn, Answer your PM and Email!

I think I prefer the resin head over the rubber one, I wonder if I can request that or is it too late/not an option?
